I didn´t know that you like Athletic. A pity that the visit is now when they still have options to stay in Primera, if not I am sure that you would get the three points, hehe..
What do you think about the philosophy of Athletic, I mean, would you like to continue using only basque players or from Lezama or you would like to adapt to the times starting to buy some foreigners/non basques, like Real Sociedad?.
I like that they give basque players a chance, it does make it very difficult to recruit replacement though. It is easy to just keep bring in either Spanish or foreigners in, but the local players need a chance to play as well. Aduriz will need replacing sometime. Your favourite Garcia is over thirty. Where will they go to replace them? Will Valverde be there next season, even if he doesn't go to Barca, he doesn't seem to hang around it jobs. I quite often tape games and I watch them at my leisure. I watched one the other day and took note of Garcia. My goodness he does irritate the referees with his talking back. He was moaning constantly. I can definitely see why he drives other fans mad.

I would actually include a change, some kind of quota of non-Basque players. What they do is very worthy in these times but it limits them a lot, and it's a shame being a club so important for spanish football.
Surely they´ll get some good coach. The philosophy of the club has already attracted Bielsa in the past. Maybe they'll get another special trainer.

Karanka is after a job. Not sure I would fancy a manager whose teams aren't encouraged to score at a team that is at present struggling to score. I watched the Las Palmas/Villareal game on Sky last night and I am sure they mentioned the Las Palmas coach being linked with Bilbao. The basque thing does not seem to stretch to their coaches does it? I suppose there is a limit. I would presume any change to the rule would have to be made by their assembly. This way of running a football club is strange to us, the days of fans being involved in the big clubs is well gone.

Assembly also exists in Madrid and Barcelona, although in the case of Madrid has become a Florentino show of strength. Setién would be great for you

Had to go shortly after the game, so one P.S. to last evening's discussion. Stats are not everything, but the ones from yesterday's game highlight Casemiro's strengths and weaknesses very well imo.

His defensive exploits (Squawka stats) were fantastic:

Tacklings 6/10 (Whoscored has him on 8/10)
Interceptions: 4
Clearances: 4
Aerial duels: 1/2
Blocks: 1

But his passing/turnover stats are pretty bad:

Passes: 39/51 (76%) - worst rate of all 13 defenders/CMs on the pitch
Long balls: 3/7 (43%)
Dispossessed: 5 - highest number of all 13 defenders/CMs on the pitch
Key passes: 1

Overall he had a great game and he even scored, but it wasn't really a balanced display. He's an outstanding defender but rather unreliable with the ball at his feet (for Real's standards), which shows when he is pressurized as much as yesterday.

Today Turkey-Portugal in la liga, Deportivo-Celta,galician derby. In case that you don´t know, From Vigo they called us Turkish(turcos) while they are portugueses.
They had a european match so I hope that will be tired. The stadium will be almost full.I got an annual ticket but unfortunately I can´t go.
And later...Amunt Valencia!! :D

Atletico vs. Sevilla is starting. 3th vs 4th. If Atletico can win here, they'll finish ahead of Sevilla, who are in free-fall.

Oblak - Vrsaljko , Savic , Godin , Filipe Luis - Koke , Gabi , Saul Niguez , Ferreira-Carrasco - Griezmann , Gameiro

Sergio Rico - Mariano , Mercado , Rami , Lenglet , Escudero - Sarabia , Nasri , Nzonzi , Vitolo - Ben Yedder

Godin. 1-0 Atletico. Tough period for Seville.
Always him! Griezmann! 2-0!
3-0 Koke. Seville done and dusted.
Consolation goal for Correa.
3-1 FT for Atletico who not only all but secure their 4th place, but are just 2 points behind Seville now.

hmm. sadly the result is not entirely surprising. It wasn't the worst Sevilla performance, but Atletico are just the stronger team with superior players. Sevilla had quite some luck this season and at the moment things are not going their way and the team struggles to cope with it. All teams have these have these periods during a season, but top teams still win games due to their individual class. Sevilla just lacks quality all over the pitch and now it is really showing. To be brutally honest: Only 4-5 players in the squad have "cl quality". We have good depth and many different options but lack players like Banega, Gameiro, Bacca, Vidal or Rakitic, who could really make the difference.

3-3-1-3 for Barca again.
Big chance for Suarez.
Well, today we keep on watching incredible missed chances. How did Barca not score here?
Piquè with a nice backheel to assist a Valencia player
Nice decision. Neymar dived.

Terrible from Mangala, red for him and penalty for Barca, which Messi scores. Time to watch something else.
