Still think that Real Madrid will win the title, they still have a game in hand and a home match against Barca towards the end of the season. If they can win these 2, providing they maintain a winning consistency from now till 23rd April, that would be a 5 point gap which is pretty decent. They are lucky that goal difference isn't counted. Although I won't be surprised if Barca pip them to the title again, they are almost out of the Champions League, so they will be fresh for every league match and it seems like they are returning back to their old form going by their recent results. My prediction for the final la liga standings:

1. Real Madrid
2. Barcelona
3. Sevilla
4. Atletico Madrid

I do watch it. But not matches featuring Real Madrid or Barcelona because it's pointless.

I lived in Spain in my 20s and attended nearly every Getafe home game for a season. So I am entitled to my opinion.

I used to speak with locals there and they were sick of Real and Barca as well. Everyone is apart from the Real and Barca fans of course.

The league needs restructuring and the share of tv revenues need to be addressed. But La Liga fanboy like you won't accept this as long as you get to see your heroes like Ronaldo and Messi scoring 4 goals in a game against the likes of Real Volcano and FC Ibiza every weekend.

I thought a while back the TV deal was being straightened out? The problem is a lack of consistent parity as I do love the football in Spain, but getting closer to the big two is very hard and almost impossible to sustain over a period of time. Obviously the big two are amazing teams, always among Europe's best 3-4 but I feel the league is designed to keep it that way from financial set up to favoritism from officials. I can see that being a turn-off for some folks. I would love it to get back to the late 90's/early 00's when Depor and Valencia were right there with the big two almost every season for a stretch of 5-6 years.

There was a clause that no club gets less than they were getting before so the difference between Real and Barcelona and the rest of the teams is still huge. The base has been set higher for the rest.

Well, at least this year, the team that used to receive less had a 60% increase in their share.

Question for the Barcelona fans.

Do you think the 343 diamond formation is a long term one or was it just a short term fix being trained specifically for the PSG game? If it is, what right winger do you see the club targeting? Mahrez?

? They're probably going to continue with this so long as it works this season, but the only reason Luis Enrique did it was because he had no RB offering width, Messi plays in the middle and the midfield gave the defence no protection. It was a matter of finding a way to fix thing with the personnel he has

Next season Luis Enrique won't be there and they'll sign a RB. Probably will go for something in midfield as well

Pep tried to use this the first season Cesc came in but truly lacked the right LB to pull it off. It's been employed at different times since then to help penetrate defenses that try to overrun Barcelona's midfield and starve the attacking outlets. In an ideal world, Barcelona would shift back & forth from the 4-3-3 to 3-4-3 but again this depends on having the right pieces to make it work.

I'd concur with giorno too, they will undoubtedly look for a RB and someone in midfield...along with a wide attacker for depth - or better still bring back Deulofeu & Munir

Seville down to Leganes after just 3 minutes.
Seville respond with Sarabia. His shot is just off the bar.
Oh christ! Leganes wasted a big chance to make it 2-0.
Leganes dangerous again. I don't think this 3-4-3 formation works for Seville.
Jo-jo! 1-1!
Seville have started well the second half.
Sampaoli is a joy to watch on the bench. He keeps on moving
1-1 FT. Seville have given up on the title.

To be fair, they were racking up points they had no "right" to earlier in the season, so it's not that surprising they're dropping them now. They're on a poor run at the moment, which leaves me thinking they really should've put away the game against Leicester in the 1st leg, because it's just got the feel of old Sevilla in the CL: in 07/08 and 09/10 they topped their groups with some devastating football to only then throw it all away themselves against relatively easy opponents in the round of 16 (Fenerbahçe & CSKA). Hopefully they can be pragmatic about it.

They have done above expectations this season. It's normal they are having a little dip in form atm.

Granada playing rather well in the first minutes of the match. But we know how frail they are.

Griezmann with a bad control or he would have been clear on goal.
Let's see if Granada can keep it up in the second half.
Stonewall penalty denied to Atletico.
Atletico have come out all gun blazing in this second half. They are putting Granada in their place.
Didn't know crazy Ochoa played for Granada. Still remember his amazing performances at the 2014 WC.

Brilliant play by Pereira down the left side again, only struggling a bit with the last decision.

Frustrating night for Griezmann. Atletico Madrid and Dortmund are having similar season. So shite in the league but a beast in the Champions League.

Granada have settled in again.

It is quite amazing how far they’ve come from the abysmal displays week in, week out during the first half of the season. Not that they’ve been brilliant tonight or anything, but they’ve fought pretty damn well against Atlético. Not created as much, but still.
