Thank feck for that. I would have been gutted to miss out on him again. At the risk of turning this into a big circle jerk, Zizinho and Albert are great first picks too. Albert in particular I thought might have been the first pick of the draft.

Heh, I will!

Been wanting to draft him for ever, but there hasn't been too many opportunities. This time around the scene should be set, and he should at least get a fair opportunity to shine a little bit.

Hopefully I'll be able to build something around him to help him do that, we'll see how it turns out.

Should be, though, as birth dates and such mean little in his case. It's like saying Siddhartha Gautama was "born" around 480 BC (or whenever).

Or, say, Homer Simpson. When was he born? And does it matter?

He got a good reception in the Euros draft and it's nice to see him feature again in this draft. Great pick, no doubt.

Aye, well - they're all nice picks at this stage. Question is how they end up fitting in, I s'pose.

I have a couple of ideas as to how he can be used in somewhat different set-ups, which could be a factor. Picking him - for me, at least - means trying to drag his arse as far into the thing as possible. Which probably means that you have to sell him in more than one (set) role. But I think he can be fairly versatile here (within reason, of course).
