Im thinking player vs player. Hazard is having a great season, Bale not so much. Bale would be back on track if he joined us. He would be number one.
It's a tough one between Bale and Hazard both are great players, one thing Bale offers is goals though, most of Hazards goals seem to come from penalties.

Hazard is a great player on form. Bale is a monster on form.
Madrid have such a high turnover of players that i don't think much convincing would be needed.
James is the flavour of the month there, but i can see Pogba displacing him in a few seasons for example.

What does Bale do better than Hazard? Obviously goals are hugely important but it isn't like Bale scores 15 more goals than Hazard.

No way on earth anyone takes Hazard over Bale.
Bale would sell shirts to the moon and give us a brand new gear. A signing like him would win us the premier league imo. Crazy money, but could be worth it in the long run.
Anyone who isn't just blinded by screamers from outside of the box would take Hazard. Because he offers much more than Bale does.

Imagine how dangerous Chelsea would be on the counter if they had Bale and Hazard on each side, a la Ribery and Robben for Bayern.
If he is to leave Madrid, it would be worth buying him just to stop Chelsea getting their hands on him. I could see Chelsea becoming utterly dominant in England and maybe Europe with Bale in their side.

I've not really tracked his progress since he went to Madrid but I'd jump at the chance to take the Gareth Bale in his final season at Spurs - he was incredible.

Doubt we can pull this off, but if it was possible we should be all over it, price doesn't really concern me, we should flex our financial muscles on a player who can win you games.
I thought it was more than that? he seems to score penalties all the time. Just looking at his numbers now he's only scored 13 league goals this season though that's surprising.

I would probably take Hazard over Bale as well. Annoyingly we came close to signing both!
Can't pretend otherwise, I would love Bale at Man Utd. He would be adored here, and I believe he would tear the league up (again).

I'd take Bale, but I don't think Bale wants to leave Real for United. If there's a prayer of getting him this summer he'd have to see us bring in some massive names first. Hummels, Pogba, Depay. And De Gea staying.
I don't really understand how Bale's value has appreciated significantly now when he hasn't been quite as good as he was when he moved. I can understand them wanting what they paid for him back, but nearly £20m more? Or is that just the "United are desperate for him" tax?
Just offer them £85m. They'd get €16m more euros than they paid for him.
And me, but I've never really bought into the Bale hype (though obviously I'll deny this if we do sign him and he somehow lives up to whatever stupid fee we'd end-up paying).
I'm not a huge Bale fan but our front 3 really needs a top class wide forward with pace to burn and goals in his boots, there is no more proven option than Bale.
Bale scored 26 goals for Spurs in his last season with us, plus many assists. Many of those goals were not "screamers from outside of the box".

Bale would be perfect for the role Young is currently playing in LVG's system, him and Shaw linking up down our left side

He is very good, in my opinion better than Hazard. Hazard is very good, but there are many attacking midfielders quite similar to him, however Bale conditions are unique. I like him but I think he needs to play as in Wales , being the protagonist of the attack, and if not, on the left . I think the Madrid is wasting the potential of the player. He's doing well, but for 100 million I expected something else.
He is a superb player. I haven't watched him at Real as much as I did when he was at Spurs. Has he improved his general match contribution? Despite producing a moment of magic at Spurs on a weekly basis his 90 minute contribution was pretty poor. Thats something that Van Gaal will find frustrating. Plenty of years left in his career and purchases like this are as much a signal of intent as a player. Helps strengthen the United brand, does seem like a crazy amount of money though!
