FA-Cup semi-finals

Any manager would choose Madrid over Liverpool, but City vs Liverpool is close tbh.

Is it though? At City he'd have a better squad, better chance of signings the top players what with champions league football. Even stuff like City's facilities could be a deal clincher. I just can't see any reason why he'd choose Pool over City.

He'll have more time to get things right & plenty of young talent to develop. Maybe you're right, though... Maybe I'm viewing Klopp with some misguided mystique as he's spent many years managing the underdog - Maybe he fancies been the big dick this time around.

I'm completely neutral and in truth would prefer Klopp to go to neither of you two as I rate him very highly but I just think with the players City already have and the pull they have with champions league football it could be a clincher for them.

It could be, there's no question about it. And as you mentioned earlier, their facilities are second to none, too.

It will be interesting to see if Rodgers stays this summer.

Cleverley vs Welbeck!

Its on!
 My boys!

Didn't watch the game, but reading this thread Cleverley did fine!?

Hopefully he keeps it up and gets a decent PL career in the next few years. He is nowhere even close to being as bad as some of our own fans make it out.

I read a stat that it was the first time since the 50s that Liverpool didn't win a trophy for 3 seasons in a row.

Rodgers out?

I think it's the first time a Liverpool manager has gone trophyless in his first 3 seasons for 50 years rather than that. Benitez didn't win anything for the last 4 years of his reign.

I mean they've only won one League Cup in almost 10 years anyway.

Problem with Klopp there is that he's not used to buying big players and then managing big egos. He'd be great at building a side, drafting in youth players. Arsenal is much more up his street

I'd agree, Arsenal and Klopp seem the perfect match but if Wenger wins the FA Cup again this season then I can't see him leaving this summer which would mean he'd have to wait at least another year for that gig.

The thing is with the moaners..sorry Gunners is that they aren't satisfied with a cup here and there. Arsenal have been their usual inconsistent selves in the PL and predictable woeful selves in the UCL. Anyone can win a cup; Swansea,Wigan being examples

Yeah I agree but sadly for them they have no say in when Wenger leaves, if they had their way he'd have gone a few years ago.

I don't know how (some) Arsenal fans can continue to be so ungrateful when it comes to Wenger. 2nd and an FA cup final is a brilliant season for any team (other than Chelsea) in the league.

Does anyone else think Delph plays similar to Matuidi of PSG?

Thought he was outstanding today. True box to box player. Energy, drives with the ball, strong, gets stuck in, gets in behind striker, etc. Just doesn't stop running.

That would probably be the best move for Klopp. Though, not sure he'd wait and I don't think Wenger will leave this season.

Highest paid manager in the league; 1 FA Cup in 10 years? So

I'm a big fan of Delph, but there's no middle ground with him. He either plays a blinder or a total stinker. He's had plenty of both this season. He's great to watch.

Darn it, I wanted to see Gerrard score an own goal against Arsenal in the final.

Slip, red card, and own goal. Perfect hat-trick of misery.

Anybody's got a gif of what Lovren has done? The moment everybody bursted out laughing, around the end, must've been some comedy gold I've missed.

He'll be an outstanding free signing in the summer for whoever goes for him

He signed a 4 and a half year contract in January. Commentator was saying how he seems to be really grateful to Villa and is why he's showing loyalty.

We aren't (just the muppets).
