Zion Suzuki

Wanted him with Onana, would be a good move. He rejected us for football reasons so I don't see what's changed.
If he rejected us for game time before then there’s very little chance he comes here.

Said this in the Senne Lammens thread too, we either need to get a serious option at number two and give them meaningful minutes and an opportunity to challenge Onana or sign our own Fraser Forster who is past it and happy to barely play a minute and hope he never has to.

Personally, given we have multiple more pressing issues in the squad, unless we get any serious bids for Onana in the summer I think we should give him one more year / put off replacing him another year. We should sell Bayindir to add some cash to the kitty and bring Vitek in following his loan as a cup keeper, give him some minutes in the domestic cups and see how he does. If he does well he could become a sellable asset like Kelleher has become at Liverpool.

Have you seen him play? He's more error-prone than Onana, which is hard to achieve

Not for Parma but when we were linked in 2023 I did some research on him and he seemed promising to me. I'm pretty sure he was one of the options we were considering as an understudy to Onana alongside Verbruggen and probably others too.

He was woeful with Japan at the Asian cup. Made an error every game

Looks like a team is going to have to get on their bike if they want to sign Suzuki in the summer!
