Another youngster linked to United.

Setanta.com can exclusively reveal that Manchester United are interested in Sochaux starlet Yven Moyo.

The 16-year-old Frenchman has been scouted five times by United’s representatives and has reportedly impressed them while playing for Sochaux’s youth team.

Left-footed attacker Moyo is yet to make his top flight debut, but is seen as one of the most promising players of his generation in his homeland.

The Red Devils are believed to be preparing a bid for the France Under-16 international according to his representatives, who would be more than happy to discuss a long-term deal.

Sir Alex Ferguson recently injected new blood into his team with Brazilian full backs Rafael and Fabio da Silva, and the Scot could opt to add another promising youngster to his squad.

Red Devils keen on Sochaux youngster

Speculation linking Manchester United with a move for Sochaux starlet Yven Moyo continues to mount.

The 16-year-old is considered to be a hot prospect in France but is far from the finished article as yet.

He is also under a trainee contract with Sochaux which will keep him at the club for at least the next two years.

The club's academy director Jean-Luc Ruty has denied receiving any approach from United for Moyo, and admits to being surprised at the Red Devils' mounting interest in the youngster.

"That is a shock," he told L'Equipe.

"I am not saying he does not have many qualities but he is not at the same level as a boy like Jeremy Menez, who has the same profile and became a professional at 17 years old.

"Yven has only just become a trainee. I can confirm that Manchester United have not made any contact with the club."
