Hey all with all the persistant rumours about who we will buy in the summer who do you people think the most likely lineup will be come august? please post, i think this could be a good topic.

G.neville L.Thuram L.Blanc M.Silvestre

D.Beckham P.Scholes R.Keane R.Giggs

R.Van Nistelrooy O.Solskjaer

The Reason I included Poom and Thuram was because in Thurams case we have been persistantly linked with him after he moved juventus which I think would be strange if we had no intention to buy him and in Pooms case, Sir Alex has openly comented on how highley he rates him. And finally with a reported budget of a mere 20million I think 16mill for thuram and 4mill+ would be right.However this could change if we get rid of Juan veron, I think its a fore gone conclusion that he will leave and if the bust up is true which I dont think it is then he will be on his way obviously back to Lazio. And if he does go then i have no idea what we will spend the money on, if i had to guess it would probably be Poom,Thuram with the 20mill and 20mill on possibly either Nesta,Hofland,Ayala,Riggot,Di Canio.
If I where Fergi to genrerate some more cash i would sell the following..

York(blackburn)5mill
Irwin(retire)
Fortune(work permit)3mill
Veron(Lazio)25mill

This would generate 53mill on new players in theroy cos I think the board will screw Fergi again possibly not allowing him all the money which would suck.

It's time for Ole to become a 100% regular in the first team. In all honesty i think if Veron stays then Scholes might not be around for long. I don't know who i'd rather have in the team - Something tells me to point towards Scholes. As good as Veron is Scholes is alot more reliable..
 
jedi sebaveron....regarding your lineup, as a great United legend once said; `he can't kick with his left peg, can't head the ball, can't dribble, but apart from that, Beckham's an alright footballer'....so having him on the left side of midfield must sure as hell brighten up the England coach's ordeal eh ;) seriously tho, as old as that Ferguson goat is, don't think he's lost all his marbles yet <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

If Veron stays, fine. If it meant Scholes going, not fine.

If it came to a choice, it would have to be Scholes for me. He may not have the finesse of Veron, but he's got something you can't buy. He is a United player and a United supporter. He will always have a passion for the club.

True, i'd hate Scholes to leave. Maybe we could adapt to a 3 - 5 - 2 formation OR buy a world class midfielder when Keane's time is up (Hes about to retire)

I think we should still go for Di Canio. He would do a better job than Veron has done for us in the position SAF played against Bayer.

I also think Nesta could become a legend at OT if he moved. He's waisted at Lazio.
