With all the talk about snuff movies and death in the general i was thinking about what i'd play at my funeral, or what i'd demand the people of the funeral play for me.

At the moment i have 2 songs. First would be Grandaddy - "Now It's on" and second would be Guilliemots - "Trains to Brazil". I'm thinking Joy Division - "atmosphere " just to finish the feckers off at the end. And if that doesn't do it, i've got Jimmy Cliff - "Many Rivers To Cross" as i'm going into the fire.

What would your funeral soundtrack be?

knocking on heavens door oo oorrr yeah yeah yeeeeeeeeeah

Excellent thread idea.

I would have this selection at the moment. I would make everyone sit through the soundtrack too.

1. Common - Retrospect for Life
2. Blackalicious - Make You Feel That Way
3. Arrested Development - Africa's Inside Me
4. MF Doom - Arrow Root

If I heard any of those songs at a funeral of a loved one, I would probably break down and lose it. I can't say why I would want those songs there, but each one of those means a lot to me, and I'm sure those who know me in real life would understand why I would want them played.

I suppose I could be really cruel and play this soundtrack:

Janet Jackson - Got 'Til It's Gone
Pete Rock - They Reminisce Over You
Gravediggaz - Never Gonna Come Back
Nine Inch Nails - Help Me I'm In Hell
Gravediggaz - 1-800 Suicide
Lil Wayne - I Feel Like Dying
Mos Def - Murder Of A Teenage Life
Styles P - There's Been A Murder
Ghostface Killah - Never Be The Same Again

:lol::lol:

Cat Power - I Found A Reason would be a proper good track to play

Actually, to my evil soundtrack, I would also like to add:

Gravediggaz - 1-800 Suicide
Lil Wayne - I Feel Like Dying
Mos Def - Murder Of A Teenage Life
Styles P - There's Been A Murder
Ghostface Killah - Never Be The Same Again

I reckon that soundtrack there would easily result in a few more funerals.

It depends who was attending. If I went before my wife I'd want All I want Is You by U2 since it was our wedding song. Song To The Siren by This Mortal Coil is the most mournful song I have ever heard and perfect to get them sobbing in the aisles.

 Nice choices but you may need help...

I'm actually thinking about djing on mine.

Yes the wedding song! that's a good one to play, i like that. On another note my wedding song is also by the Guillemots - "Made up love song". I can play my wedding and funeral Guillemot songs back to back.

What would your funeral soundtrack be?

Metallica - To live is to die
Metallica - Orion

I might opt for a audio montage of screams and death sounds.

That should send the message right across that I am dead.

None of this 'I can't believe he's gone', or 'It feels like he's still here' rubbish, they will know exactly where I am.

I plan to make the bastards cry, that's my whole aim. Maybe play with some emotions abit along the way mind...

I would also pay a double of me to walk into the funeral from the exit doors and say that I'm actually alive! Then I would get him to say it was a poor taste joke, and the dead person they loved is still in the coffin at the front.

fecking hell that's a good one, but on the other hand, your misses / partner might not give a feck as long as they look like you and could find her adopting the look alike, along with your Mum, friends, family and them all forgetting about the real you. That would suck...

Yes, that would suck. I have a remedy for that though, I would have another person paid to shoot my double as soon as he has finished informing everyone that I'm still in the coffin.

That takes care of everything I think, plus seeing a double of me being killed should also make everyone relapse and remember me being dead and what not...Should be able to milk a fair few tears from them after that little stunt.

Nice, i like it, so that's what the "would you kill someone" thread in the general is about? looking for someone to do the deed so to speak...

You Raise Me Up
Into the West - Annie Lennox
Intermezzo from Cavaleria Rusticana
Heaven - Bryan Adams
Time to Say Goodbye
May it Be - Enya

:lol: I mean this in the best possible way, but I think I would really really want to be at your funeral.

My choices would be:

1. Seasons Of Love - OST Rent
2. U2 - One
3. REM - Everybody Hurts (just to make my dad cry hahaha)
4. The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
5. Bob Marley - Redemption Song
6. The Killers - All These Things That I've Done

And to end it all off, for a grand finale, I've Had The Time Of My Life from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack :P

Gotta have Metallica's Orion, no doubt there. At the moment, I'd also have:

Mondo Generator - Day I Die
Black Sabbath - Into The Void
QOTSA - In The Fade

and to finish it all off

Kyuss - Freedom Run

With Village People - Macho Man in the middle, so my brother and mate would burst out laughing even at my funeral.
