Unless the ancient Lindelof is dragging the average up aged 30, I can’t imagine there has been a younger bench than that?

Jack Fletcher - 17
Jack Moorhouse - 19
Elyh Harrison - 18
Chido Obi Martin - 17
Ayden Heaven - 18
Harry Amass - 17
Tyler Dredricson - 19
Sékou Koné - 19

What position does Tyler play? And what's his potential?

Three 17 year olds is quite mental. Think you’re missing Kone, as well

Sky sports Lewis Jones: It’s an underwhelming bench for 600 million spent.

Well it’s not by choice you moron.

Lindelof on the bench today:

Yes, we spent 600m on these bench players, you absolute plonker (referring to Jones, not you, just to be clear)

It’s not an unprecedented injury crisis though. Collyer’s just another kid. We’re missing Ugarte, Mainoo, Amad, Martinez and Eriksen. And that’s it? To have a bench that young with just 5 first teamers out would be mental at any PL club, never mind one that’s spent as much as us over the last several years.

EDIT: Forgot that Shaw and Mount also injured. Of course they are.

Nailed on we will get an injury in the opening 30mins and one of them will get their shot

Yoro, Shaw, Mount, Evans, and the backup goalkeepers are all out too.

I mean, the choice of spending 600 million on shite and having them injured to boot is ours, so he's not far wrong.

Bournemouth away at Newcastle the other week?

McKenna 18
Rees-Dottin 18
Travers 25
Kinsey 19 (turned 20 now)
Akimboni 18
Winterburn 20
Silcott-Duberry 19
Adu-Adjei 19
Jebbison 21

No surprise given we've got rid of numerous players and brought in very few replacements.

Hoping one or two of them take the opportunity to impress.

Slightly older. 19.67 vs 19.33 for United.

Ah, fair enough. Suppose it could be younger if we went by the exact dates of birth instead of rounding down but statistically unlikely.

Leeds v Arsenal 21/22?

Kristoffer Klaesson 21
Kris Moore 18
Liam McCarron 20
Archie Gray 15
Nohan Kenneh 18
Jack Jenkins 19
Lewis Bate 19
Sam Greenwood 19
Crysencio Summerville 20

18.77

Might be beatable if we went back to the days of 3 or 5 subs on the bench in an end of season game. Playing a load of kids in a meaningless match. Two 19 year-olds and an 18 year-old from the days of 3 subs is a 18.67, very possible.

The bigger the bench the more likely someone drags the age up I suppose. Lindelof possibly cost us that record today, the opposite of Archie Gray from that Leeds one.

We may has well have played the game with no bench, considering Ruben's refusal to actually use it anyway today.

Funny.

Actually had Harrison starting for my team in the 2030/31 season where he let in 75 goals in a Premier League season as a newly promoted side. He was backup after that for a couple of years.

Flogged him to Ipswich and he was backup there for a season too before they sold him to 'boro where he started in the Championship for 2 seasons. He's now just been loaned out to Stoke in League One in January 2037.

Doing an all Welsh player save, he was born there although he represents England in the real world at U19 level. Also got some South African roots according to the game.
