You cannot be serious...

Just read that Ferguson is trying to persuade Blanc to extend his contract for another year. I just dont get it, what does he see that the rest of us are missing. In the WestHam game he was so freaking lost when Defoe nipped in to score that put life back into them. He was again lost when Boksic scored for Boro. And we were cruising to a victory against Leeds, when he gave away a silly foul, from which Harte scored, and started their come back.He was in no man's land when Robbie Keane got a free header that should have gone in. For a guy whose reading of the game is supposed to be excellent, he looks like he's sleep walking.Even for the French National team, he was just made to look good because there was Desailly,Thuram and Lizarazu to cover his sorry behind. Please send the man to his retirement and get a central defender that can actually take charge.

Rubbish,in what sense, please explain. Just looking for constructive argument on this, either for or against

ahh young padawan fish bait....new you are to the forum, hmmm...wise it is not to slag off one of our great jedi knights just for the heck of it hmmm....his reading of the game incidentally IS brilliant and he has picked up the intricasies of the english game in what short time he's been here, which in itself shows that the man is pure class....most morons seem to think that speed is the cure for our defensive frailties, but the investment in blanc is ultimately a very sound one, as he has already had a very positive influence on young o'shea and quite possibly mexes next season, so quite sadly, grand master ferguson is lightyears ahead of you, young padawan...yesterday, the game revealed the weakness of our fullbacks, g.nev more so than silvy...what was he thinking, giving that freekick away like that....thoroughly enjoyed the rollicking keano gave him, should've grabbed g. nev by the neck there & then eh ;) so please stop slagging off blanc....to say he was never any good is pure stupidity on your behalf, much to learn have you young padawan hmmmm

Trust me kid saying that about Blnac is a no no. The guy is good. against Leeds it is the taking off of Giggs that nearly cost us like it did at Derby county. On both occasions we were two goals up and Giggs was stopping attacks from coming up. Besides in the days of Stam the defence was always gulity of "collectivepanic". Nowadays even with mistakes with blancs prsence they handle them more camly. Anyway Blanc is good but he should retire. We want a team that can dorminate Europe till Sir alex Leaves and beyond.

Thanks for teaching me the error of my ways, but then where does our problem lie? Is it because Blanc did not have a chance to work with the team in pre-season, or does it have anything to do with McLaren's departure?

I think the reason most don't bother leaving 'constructive' comments is because the majority of us are tired of explaining the whole Blanc scenario.
