Did anybody else see it. A couple of times they were hypnotic. Well, ok Cole screwed up a lot, but nothing new there.
Yorke, however, was fantastic in the second half. Some of his flicks reminded me of 98/99. It was if he was lacking confidence at the start of the game, but by the end everything he tried was coming off.

Best moment of the game was Yorke's back-flick to Cole (and turn by Yorke), Cole back to Yorke, then straight back to Cole who misses a v. good chance.

Agreed.. Not really surprised that Yorkie's coming good... Crying shame that it all went pear shaped at OT as he was IMO the most naturally gifted of all our forwards and the ideal candidate to partner Ruud up front. In fact if you were drawing up an identikit of the type of striker we 're in need of now then an in form Yorkie fits the bill perfectly. Still can't believe he went so cheap.

Coles been out injured with a hamstring injury. a few more matches under his belt and i daresay he would have taken one of those chances

Yeah. He only came on the second half. The Duff was just back from injury too and he was very good in the first half and too knackered in the second half.

Yorke looked fantastic, Cole very rusty. You can see their chemistry together remains.

Blackburn are a very good team, with the likes of Thompson, Dunn and Duff aswell as Friedel who could probably stop a Jumbo Jet if it was coming towards him.

I thought Yorke looked great, especially when under pressure, totally kept cool and the ball always seemed to find a fellow blackburn player, however, he didnt look as fast/fit as he used too...

I agree with whoever said that he would be the identikit partner for RVN.

Such a shame..

Dwight a revelation , though was he up against very much? ...say a mid table premership outfit ...as for Cole ....would you rather have him or Forlan right this minute

Everyone who still remember the treble year would surely miss a Yorke-and-Cole partnership on top form. I have watched football for over 12 years yet never find a better partnership than them everywhere in the world. Even for now, I'd rather have Cole than Forlan.

Fair enough they looked good together, but I bet they would rather have played poorly and won the game. The fact of the matter is they looked good against mediocre opposition. In European football you have to take your chances, we know that only too well ourselves. Can't see Celtic repeating (as much as I would like too) the same outcome at Blackburn though.

Yorke was most def the most talented striker at OT, it was a shame he left, i think he would have come good at Man Utd as well, Blackburn robbed us as far as im concerned, he is exaclty what Man Utd are missing at the mo.

Cole. Every time.

Of course it`s got to be Cole! Andy is still the man - I feel sad that he had such a frustrating last season with us. The man deserved to be starting - not warming the bench or playing reserve football.
As for Yorkie - sorry but Celtic are right up there with a good Second Division English team. Understandably so - for a start they play teams every week that rank with the likes of Chester. Celtic and Rangers for the Premiership? Only if it is a plot by the English football heavies to ensure Premiership teams pick up easy points each week.

they had it all..pace, movement, telepathy ;) ...dribbling skills(Yorke), doubt we'll see a partnership like that one again..

that goal in Nou Camp..was majestic

ungrateful bastard.. atleast remember him for the good times.. he already left the club.. can't do us more harm now..

i agree he was too much of a poofster in the last 2 seasons and i for one wanted to see him gone.. but i do appreciate all the work he has done.. without him there would never have been '99.. he was god sent.. can you believe it was actually the only season in his career that he played that well.. it's amazing thinkin about it like that..

I thought Blackburn were unlucky. Yorke was excellent in the first half and its a shame Andy was only just coming back from an injury. You could tell he'd been out for a while.
