Well my mate is a dipper and me and him were discussing old Djibril yesterday, basically, he reckons Cisse will be a dipper by next year cos the Auxerre manager said Liverpool 'were leading the race' to sign Cisse on french tv, but we heard cisse talk on french radio about joining us. Basically, my dipper mate reckons that cisse didnt actually say that and that there's no proof, yet he apparently 'saw the auxerre manager on tv' saying these things. Then theres my gooner mate who thinks cisse will join the arse...then Cisse goes and signs a new contract. Madness, but who do you think he'll sign for, honestly?, if atall

Well if he's just signed a new contract, probably none of us.

Liv, stuff like this has happened before. I think he just signed the contract to a) get himself some money from Auxerre, even if it´s just for half a year, and b) to get Auxerre more money when he decides to leave.

Him signing a new contract doesn´t bother me at all as I think it´s a way for Auxerre to get more money for him when he decides to leave. They cannot refuse to sell when a club like United steps in and puts a bid on the table.

Now for Mexes :D

Sure does, but it´s only going to get worse when players can walk away for nowt with 3 months´ notice.

They have to think of a new way to pay players, and trade them, one that conforms to the normal notice period of an employee, and are not slaves. Employees aren't bought, they're offered better money. Effectively all players will be on a free, but still only available during transfer windows. Naturally the big clubs would hugely profit, but they'd have to redirect the money saved into signing on fees to the player, and higher wages. But what happens to the poor clubs? The non-league clubs? Is that why Kenyon says we can't have so many professional leagues?

Football´s about to hit the wall, Neil. It won´t get better until the players realize the time of the huge wages is over. United are stable and won´t be as affected as others, but there´re many clubs who are about to hit the wall across Europe.
