Well I was up at 6:30 this morning, Only to be sitting at the local train station by 8am. I managed to get on the train and arrive in Liverpool Street - I had my journey planned out only to be told the line I wanted was down so had to re configure out my underground joruney...
Anyways, I picked my way out the station to the ground to be welcomed by some hotel on the front of Stamford Bridge, I made my way round to the away end of the ground and found me seat...
I was one of the first ones in, so sat around reading and having a good old bovril to wake me up from the long tedious train journey...
United fans were in full song as per usual as you'd expect from away fans, I was sat up near the copnrer flag so had a not to bad view of the game...
The first goal came from a free kick which Nistelrooy got taken down for, Giggs slotted it across from left of the field to the centre, only for an eager Paul Scholes to hit it first time and bang in the back of the net - 1-0
Nistelrooy had an absolutly brilliant chance to put the ball in the back of the net as he beat the offside trap and was faced one on one with the keeper, who in all fairness made a class save from what was a class shot
Chelsea fan started singing at this point "NISTELROOY, BANG BANG BANG, NISTELROOY, BANG BANG BANG" (Base that on the 'Manchester Tra La La' Tune and thats what it should sound like) Only for us to sing it back at them as he cleanly beat Cudicini to put it in the back of the net 2-0 I don't think any one was expecting this score line...
Half time hit us and to be quite honest, none of us were complaining...
The second half came and United were in full force...
A shot from I think Wes Brown which should have gone in but hit directly at the keeper and then yet another shot later on (two in one go infact) both saved by the Chelsea Keeper...
United ticked along quite nicley, watching Larry White defend was an absolute pleasure today, infact the whole back 4 played well and even some out standing tackles from Giggs, Scholes and Butt and to add to that, The Chelsea front men putting through balls through to no one and shooting wide every time was an absolute pleasure to see
Not far from time the usual waving goodbye to the fans and what not came across and even from my end of the stand we started singing "just because your losing!"
Moments after that... Ole struck home to make it 3-0 and the celebrating was emense, Chelsea fans were walking out and United fans were singing at the fans that remain "You've only stayed to watch United
The final whistle blew and I made an exit from the ground to the station where they decided to mess up my head even more by not runnning trains and so forth, I managed to get on a tube surrounded by Chelsea fans and some kid up the other end banging on the tube singing something about being the famous CFC...
Got in at about 5:20ish and all in all a good day I feel
