need to sit down and re-evalute, got the whole network set up now, but cannot work out where the ps3 is looking for the vids. Just added a prison break to the same folder everything else is in, but the ps3 refuse to see it. Also very annoying is the fact it sees files it cannot actually read

I don't know what you are doing, but the PS3 also only has a certain number of codecs inbuilt. Are you streaming here, or just network file sharing?

As someone mentioned in the other thread, http://tversity.com/home is a good solution if you are streaming.
