Could do this search online but you lot will know better especially Weaste.

I have a Xbox360 Arcade - cost £129.99.

I am looking to get it connected to my HD television but someone told me it doesn't have a HDMI output? Is this correct?

And if it DOES have one, any recommendations on what cable to buy?

it does have an HDMI output, just buy the official xbox 360 HDMI cable sorted

just have a quick look on the back of it to be sure, according to my friend google there is an HDMI output on it alright, i have one of the older models that does not have an HDMI output on it:(

Older models don't have the HDMI port, it depends on when it was manufactured. Component however is capable of outputting HD to a TV. It's only a problem with the PS3 which requires HDCP in a lot of cases such as BD movies @ 1080p.

.

Cheers mate, will check it when i get it but i think it will have one.

Basically want to connect it for PES2009 in HD.

I think it's common sense but don't purchase one that's not microsoft... different brands will fit in the xbox but it's almost as if the layer of plastic is just too big, it'll snap.

Even if your 360 doesn't have a HDMI output (like my one) you can still connect it to HD. On the AV lead you will see a switch on the bit that connects to the 360, on this switch should be a label saying which position is TV and which is HDTV.

Put the switch to HDTV and put the required leads into the back of the TV.

HDMI cables arn't all that :p

But they sure are better :D
