Halo 3: ODST - I'm not really a fan of Halo but I really enjoyed that
Bioshock - I have the PS3 version but I guess it's the same

I'm getting XBox at xmas could have got Ps3 but my brothers and most of my mates have Xbox so thought that would be better so can play them online so I would be quite intrested to know what the best games for that kind of thing is.

I have both, if I had to pick a winner, I would have to say Xbox. More games, better gameplay or same games, IMO anyway. But seeing as when people start threads they would like opinions of games or whatever, not to be told by fanboys that they made the wrong purchase.

As for games to get. Obviously Modern Warfare 2 would be up there. Bioshock is outstanding. Get it now and ready for part 2 in early 2010.
Although some dont like it, I reckon GTA 4 is fantastic plus with the xbox you can download 2 extra stories for it too.
If you want exclusives I enjoyed the Gears and Halo series.

Do you like DMC? Shame that Bayonetta isn't out until the 8th, because the XB360 version is supposed to be the dogs balls.
Played a demo of Bayonetta. Really does look good. And from early previews sound very promosing.

Devil May Cry. Bayonetta is done by a team headed by Hideki Kamiya, the bloke that worked on the original Devil May Cry and Resident Evil.

I got Fallout and Oblivion about a year ago. Never got into either of them.
Does this mean I should avoid Mass Effect. Arent they quite similar games?
MW2, if you don't have it already.
I don't consider MW2 to be a game that you can really sit down and enjoy with a beer. Something like the Batman game, yes, Forza, yes, slaying everything in sight down, not really.

The operative phrase being 'I don't consider'; there are others who could consider or even do consider MW2 to be an enjoyable game in that sense.
