Yeah took me a while too. Ended up just spending the whole time building artillery to take it out with only a couple of machine gun bunkers to take out the infantry. Managed to take it out just as it reached the end. If you didn't know you can change the angle that the artillery shoot at as well, I didn't realise that for a while.
