XBOX 360 - ProEvo Soccer 08

I have it but don't play it

It's dire online, so bad it's unplayable. Gameplay is just shit.

I've had every game in the series since PES2 on PS2, this is by far the worst...

I would suggest you get COD4, it's amazing and a good few of the lads on here play it
 
I have both Pro Evo 08 and Fifa 08 for 360. Fifa has somehow managed to become the far superior game in just a year and Fifa took huge steps forward, where as Pro Evo took bigger steps back.

Not only that, but Fifa actually works online, and has the Be A Pro mode (which can be hit and miss, depending on the people you end up playing with, but is still ALOT of fun) just for a bit of variety.

If you haven't played the new Fifa though, you may enjoy it more since you'll have nothing to compare it too.

Yeah. I already have FIFA 08 and I love it. I have only bought the FIFA series and never have really heard much about ProEvo, but everyone said that ProEvo 07 was awesome. So I decided to buy the 08 version since 07 is last years, also I can't find it anywhere so I had to get 08.

Yeah I've heard. Just didn't recognize the abbreviations. The morning show I always listen to plays it religiously, they even had tryouts for their online team.

So I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy it.

Thanks for all the info from everyone so far, even though it seems I might have just wasted my money on ProEvo 08! :mad:

Pro Evo has been the best football game for the last 4 or 5 years, probably more than that, unfortunetaly you've seem to have picked the only one that hasn't been decent, but being the most recent it's a logical choice. Last years version is good, but not so good on the 360. Pro Evo has yet to make a real impact on the next gen consoles. I've seen Pro Evo 07 (it's actually called pro evo 6 though) about lots of places though, and you could probablly get it for around £10, maybe less than that.

I've played both Fifa 08 and PES 08 and I still think PES 08 shits all over Fifa this year(despite what others think). Granted Pro evolution this year isn't as good as its previous versions, but its still a pretty damn good football game. The gameplay is still much better than Fifa's but it does lose out to fifa in the graphics department(but then again PES has never been about graphics). I'd give Fifa 08 a 6/10 and PES 08 a 7/10.

As long as you do not have huge ambitions to play online with a serious attitude (PES08 online is awful) its a good game. The other pro evo's are better.

Spot on!

I've been a huge PES fan since ISS 98, but this one is the worst yet. Next-gen, my arse...

FIFA 08 is far superior to PES 2008.
 
online is shocking. not even worth playing.

Offline i love it, way better then FIFA. bearing in mind ive had every fifa since 98 and had pro evo ever since Pes4.

play pro evo for about 2 weeks, with out playing fifa. Then play fifa and you will relise how appaling the game play is.

totally agree. i just find fifa unplayable. gameplay is shockingly poor!
