xbox 360 help plz

My xbox 360 has problems loading games. I can't send it off because I lost the warranty card and receipt.

No red lights come on but some of the games load properly, some don't load and some load; work properly for a bit and then the screen just freezes and the 360 begins to make all sorts of weird noises. It's not because of the discs(i've checked). I've tried taking it to a repair shop but they want £95 to repair it. Anyone know what I can do:confused:

This is the second micorsoft product that's fecked up for me within a month:mad:
 
I've given up on mine

The final straw came when the battery on the spare controller ran out, despite it only ever having been used once previously
 
Find £95 and get it fixed

Look up the towel trick on google.

It overheats the xbox for a lil bit and then you leave it, then it works again.

Friend of mine did it 6 weeks ago and its still working grand.
