A pipe dream, I know, but he has previously expressed his admiration for United. If Barca won the Champions League, he might fancy a new challenge.

Worth a cheeky bid?

Don't see the point. He won't be going anywhere.

This seems like the reasoning Inter were using when trying to tempt Giggs away from us in late 90s and early 00s.

A pipe dream

I think you've been smoking more than just a pipe.

If you read Graham Hunters book though he was very close to joining us in the early 00s. He wasn't used properly by Barca and was growing frustrated. Barca were open to selling him and we were his preferred club. In the end though he chose to fight it out for a place at the club of his dreams.

Imagine Xavi and Scholes in the same midfield. This was when Scholes was in his prime too. :(

Xavi will end his career at Barca and probably end up coaching and perhaps managing them. He's incredibly intelligent about the game.

I would cry.

Imagine getting 25 games out of Scholes and 35 or 40 out of Xavi...
