I've just bought one of these. Few questions

1) Is it easy to set up

2) Can I play the old school Halo games on it?

3) What games should I buy?

In hindsight, I should have asked these before buying the fecker

I've got the new Halo, fancy playing the old feckers first - I remember playing the first one for 5 minutes at a mates and being impressed. Mind you, that was about 5 years ago and I was pissed

Ive never played the old ones, so I'm waiting for them to come out to download.

Not sure if you can play old disks on the 360.

You on live yet?

Its the online gaming bit, so you can play against the lot of here...

You can get the old Halo's on ebay for peanuts

Have you got Xbox live yet Davo?

Excellent - I expect to be able to join in sometime in 2010

'Live' multiplayer is where its at, whether youre any good or not doesnt matter, its good craic

Get yourself a copy of Call of Duty 4 as your first purchase

Gears of War & Halo 3 are quite good too

FIFA is for gayers

How the feck do you set up the live thing?

This is for reference only, the Xbox is currently in the office

you can buy a subscription card for 3 months, 6 months, or a year. (or you can try it free for a month first)

then, if your xbox is near your broadband connection, just plug a cable in

alternatively you can get the wireless adaptor for the xbox so you can play it in your bedroom/spare room or whatever

its worth it, you can download old games, demos etc as well

The wireless thing sounds the way forward, do I just buy it and plug the fecker in?

What's the live thing all about then? Just playing against other cnuts online and downloading stuff?

pretty much, as long as you have a wireless router on your broadband off course. Cant remember exactly but i dont recall having any major configuration to do.

yep, 99% of games you buy will have a "live" multiplayer option. Some games you can play co-op, or team based ones or just shoot every fecker you want.

 i dunno you tell me

do you use a laptop at home and get internet access anywhere in the house without plugging in a cable? if so, then yes you have wireless

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Assasin's Creed, FIFA, Madden

Im really enjoying playing gears of war at the moment, nice and gritty yet not to hard to get to grips with, a good one for the pc gamer to learn the controls with the dual sticks.

had mine for over a year now, but just got possibly the greatest part of it working

linked it up with my pc network and now am able to stream my entire music photo and film collection from my studio to my lounge

just going through the arduous task of converting my films from avi to wma

Already posted this several times but might as well do it again...

It allows you to stream anything, and I mean anything, no matter what codec it uses.
