Used to when I was 7-10, then realised it was ALL fake and lost interest. Mind you the Gameboy WWF game was mint

When I lived in the US, I met quite a few people who thought it was completely real. I also know a few around here that think it's real....

storyline yes, but the risks are real... practiced yes, but which professional doesn't practice his skill? it;s like saying football is fake; premier league a story of a trophy, team players practice so must be fake...
Unfortunately I can attest that there are plenty that believe it's real....

The performance isn't fake... the outcomes of the matches are predetermined though, making it entertainment not sport....
well the WWE (or WWF as was) doesn't claim to be anything other than "Sports Entertainment". My lad loves it , but at about 8 or so years of age he had sussed that it was all staged (he is not American, you see...)
Personally I think that these guys are incredible athletes, superb actors and top class entertainers. It's a show... take it as such and enjoy it for what it is. The only down side to it is the obvious over-use of steroids that some of these guys indulge in (Chris Benoit being a recent tragic case in point...) and that no matter how hard the wrestling gets, Trish Stratus' tits never seem to fall out.....

Mankind was always my favourite.
I'm a big WWF/WWE fan. I've watched it for 17 years, I may not watch it as much as I used to when I was little but I still love it and I'll probably be interested in it for the rest of my days. Me and my cuz went to Detroit for Wrestlemania 23 this year and it was fecking amazing - a whole weekend of it, we met so many people from so many countries around the world who had travelled there to see it and the atmosphere was awesome
