we bought one big name player in the mold of Seba or Rio, or would you prefer we bought 3 or so moderately priced players...comparable to what the Arse do every year ??

I think due to the fall in transfer fees, that we may buy two or three players on the 'cheap'...this summer.
eg:
Harry Kewell - 6m
Ronny....... - 10m
Escude?..... - 5m
just over 20million... I think the top two are world class or there abouts..

The 1st. Id like to see us buy a player that will have an instant effect, and that already carries quality, no offence, as much as i think we should sign him, david bellion is hardly going to have real madrid shaking in their boots.
We need to buy a player that will improve our squad as apposed to a player which the squad will improve them.
Id like to see us buy a big name player (i.e ronaldinho, cisse etc.) with pace, but also make a few 'lesser' known player purchases, i.e bellion, Kewell and so on.

I dont think anyone who comes is immediately going to fix all our problems. We saw with Rio, we had the best attack last year and signing Rio gave us the best defence, but things dont always just click.

I don't know how strong the rumour is but we have been linked with Porto's Deco. From what I've seen he would be an excellent addition to our midfield. In fact, I would like to bring in 3 portuguese players this summer with Quaresma and Postiga. All young players with good technique. We'll have no Biscans here

Yep,all could come about 20 mil quid and maybe we could get Cristiano Ronaldo also

I'd rather have D'Allesandro or possibly invest in a young prodigy like Quaresma than buy Kewell or Duff at this point. Giggsy is still top draw for me and he would be an excellent mentor to young players like D'allesanro or Quaresma imo.

problem with the youngsters is you never know how theyll turn out ... kewell and duff are proven players and you know what you get when you sign them

Isn´t D'Allesandro more of a central midfielder than a winger? We already got enough of central mid.s, I´d got with RONNIE, Quaresma and a future replacement for Keane.

i second that
