The Keane incident has been blown out of all proportion by the English media who have been looking all summer for a target of their agression.

Fact is it was a bad tackle and spiteful. But I don't believe that Roy went out to permenantly injure the guy. He just lashed out. I remember Sparky booting a Shef United player in the balls from behind in a match. Terrible tackle (no pun intended), but if Sparky was to retell it now would he be the target to the same extent as Keane. Not a chance.
If Ruddock told of how he stopped Andy Cole with a professional foul by booting one of his legs which smashed off his other leg, breaking both. I still don't believe that there would be the same uproar.
Or Shearer on Lennon, or Owen on Johnson.

And incidently, Football365 is the freakiest 'football' website that I have ever come across. Never have I seen such blatent attempts to incite hatred and violence amongst rival fans/teams and sorry but I think it is bizarrely anti-United

that ruddock foul on cole in the resreves a few yaers ago was a disgrace which went unpunished. same as shearer's on lennon when he threatened to pull out of france '98 if he was banned. another one that teh abu media will gloss over is owen versus ronny johnsen.
