Worlds Darts Championship

I reckon this is Adrian Lewis's year, either him, Taylor or Barney, either way it's going to be a good tournement this year, seen some great darts already.

12 in the PDC and 2 in the BDO, he'll probably make it to 20 in total then call it a day.

Was an absolutely amazing final. I prefer watching BDO because I don't feel so much like the players have sold out for the cash, but no way I was turning down Barney vs Taylor. The better player lost, but there was sod all in it and was a cracking match, won on a final leg sudden death contest. Good stuff.

Just read about some guy (Mason I think his name was) getting all pissed that Taylor whipped his ass and starting an arguement with him and the fans. What kind of idiot is this Mason guy?
Mason gobbed off in the Sun the day before the game saying he would stuff Taylor who is a big head, Taylor whipped him 4-0 and when he shook his hand he called Taylor a 'fecking cnut'.Masons a bit of a twat, been in prison apparently and not one of the nicest guys around

3-0 down and comes back to win, hitting 21 180's, thats more than most managed in the whole tournament

Was sensational stuff, and thats what he had to do to win the championship, anything less and it was game over. Your surely not arguing with the contention that the better player lost though? Fair play Barney came from 3 down, but he got fairly beat up those first three sets, Barney put in his highest set average of the match in set 2 and still lost it to Taylor. 'There didn't deserve to be a loser' would be an apt phrase to use, if it wasn't so gay and anti-competitive, used only by fence sitting nonces.

The best man won, end of story,he has beaten Taylor 3 times this year and I would say that Taylor wouldnt have so many titles as he has if Barney had been around sooner

I haven't watched darts for ages, and don't know much about it, but didn't Phil Taylor and Barney used to play in separate competitions for some reason? How come they're playing eachother now?

Nice to see though, always thought they both still had something to prove before...

Barney was the playing the circuit in the original governing body, the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and Taylor has been with the rival Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) since it began 1992. Since then the PDC has always attracted the best players like Taylor, mainly because of the money SkySports brought in. The only world class player left in the BDO was Barney, until last year when the PDC announced he had signed up with them. Taylor being with the PDC is one of the reasons why he's never been nominated for the BBC sports personality, as the BBC are affiliated with the BDO. You can see the difference in quality when the BDO world championship comes on the BBC this month. There is one player worth watching though, jelle klassen from Holland, he'll probly end up converting to the PDC though in a few years.
