Sarfraz Najeib has said his family will launchcivil action against Leeds United and Jonathon Woodgate and Lee Bowyer.
The pair were charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, and affray after Najeib was attacked in Leeds city centre on January 12 last year.
Following the subsequent trial Bowyer was cleared of all charges and Woodgate was found guilty of affray and sentenced to 100 hours community service.
But at a press conference in the city, the Najeib family's spokesman Suresh Grover said the 'quest for justice' would continue.
Former Leeds striker Tony Hackworth - cleared of assault during the first trial earlier this year - will also face action along with Bowyer and Woodgate, while the club is accused of failing to control its players properly and being involved in a 'cover-up'.
Grover said: "After the heartbreaking and illogical verdicts last Friday, the family has spoken to their lawyers and made what they consider to be an informed decision to proceed with taking civil action for damages."
