Barcelona are the champions and have been for the past two seasons, they're favourites to make it three in a row. In the last 9 years, Lyon have six titles and Barcelona have three.



Tuesday 8 October - all times are CET
Group A
Lyon vs Galatasaray (18:45)
Roma vs Wolfsburg (18:45)

Group B
Chelsea vs Real Madrid (21:00)
Celtic vs Twente (21:00)

Wednesday 9 October
Group C
Bayern vs Arsenal (18:45)
Vålerenga vs Juventus (21:00)

Group D
Hammarby vs St. Pölten (18:45)
Man City vs Barcelona (21:00)

DAZN have the European (including UK) TV rights. If it follows the same pattern as last year, the matches are free to view but you have to register a DAZN account.

TNT sport will also be showing the City v Barcelona match in the UK.

Chelsea got a winning start - but Bompastor (manager) will think they can do better. Go faster, make fewer mistakes, make more chances. Even playing below their best they still got the 3 points - they should race away with the group.

Arsenal's return to the WCL was brutal but their form in WSL hasn't been impressive either so maybe it was no surprise. They play Chelsea in the league on Saturday.

City beat Barcelona. Any defeat for Barcelona is a surprise - that's a big win for City.

Pernille Harder still has that Chelsea-Arsenal rivalry in her. What a great 2-for-1 deal she was for Bayern.

Put a smile to my face when I saw that she scored against them. Shes not the player she used to be. I actually think she peaked before she even got to Chelsea, so we didn’t get to see peak Harder either. Shes always been a clutch player though.

I rarely watch the games, but looking at her stats: she was at 1 goal per game before going to Chelsea and is at about 1 goal in 2 games for Chelsea and Bayern. And as you said, still a very clutch player.

Arsenal have an interim manager and need to win. They will have the advantage of knowing how Juventus got on but realistically the need to beat Vålerenga (twice) to qualify from this group won't change.

After City's win over Barcelona in week one, I think they were expected to beat St Polten without too much fuss, but they were drawing 1-1 at HT and fell behind early in the second half. City manager to back ahead (3-2) in the 80th minute. Very close game up to that point but City starting to run things now.

I've got to say though, City's kit has to be one of the worst I've seen in a while. It looks they're all wearing training bibs. Unless of course they are all wearing training bibs in which case WTF :lol:

Is it the horrible Noel Gallagher kit? That looks like a bit but its actually a tribute to some Oasis album appearently.
