OK - so remember how we laughed when Batter suggested short shorts and figure hugging shirts for female footballers. Well apparently the women's basketball european league has the same rule. I now know this because an American player, Diana Taurasi, broke the rules (ten times) and Galatasaray have been fined accordingly.
I'll have to quote the Spanish article because I couldn't find the story in English but the picture makes it pretty obvious:
Taurasi desafía a la FIBA y no juega con ropa ajustada - baloncesto | euroliga femenina - AS.com
Wildly anachronistic? Or just a realistic and very modern assessment of (women's) sport as a branch of showbiz?
