To be honest I thought he had really improved at the start of the season. his defending was a lot better, not more evident than the game v West Ham at home with loads of great headed clearances and some blocks and tackles showing his game was on top. I think the injuries after the WC have really set him back and in the same space of time AWB has really improved.

I think it just shows we have a manager and coaching staff that are able to work with any player and really improve them, which hasn't been seen for a while. I would understand getting rid of Dalot if we are going for Frimpong but would also understand keeping him as I do think he is better than what he has shown recently.

Was Dalot that good though or was he just better than he'd been for us and offering something different? Just semantics on my part.

I think he really was playing consistently well until Xmas - defending well and better going forward than AWB, had formed a decent understanding with Antony too

But he played a crazy amount of minutes and then went to the World Cup, his form was so good he replaced Cancelo mid-tournament but then the inevitable injury and he hasn't got going since then

I think he would go for 75m-80m pounds if sold this summer. As soon as anyone uses the transfer fees paid by Chelsea as benchmark they would get laughed at considering the way things are turning there. It seems there are 2 markets one with Chelsea and one without.

I assume you are in the wrong thread and not valuing Dalot at £75m!
