Willian to Chelsea?

Willian’s contract involves a minimum release clause of 35 million Euros. But we met Willian halfway and are ready to let him go for 30 million.

How generous

He is decent tho.

Big discount, he must be using the Essien calculator if he thinks he is meeting the player "halfway"

Haven't seen too much of him, other than snippets here and there.

Chelsea have had a £27million bid rejected for Shakhtar Donetsk forward Willian.
The European champions have been tracking the Brazilian international for some time, and have finally made their move for the star.
However their opening offer has fallen short of the Ukrainian club's valuation, with manager Mircea Lucescu revealing anything less than the £32m paid for Eden Hazard will not do.

'I had a conversation with Willian and the club president about Chelsea's interest, the Romanian said. 'I told Willian he can leave, but only if the right offer is made. He's a great player.'
'Willian was the biggest investment Shakhtar have made in a young player, and we have to respect that. Clubs should not assume that if a player is coming from the east that the the price is lower.
'They paid a lot of money for Hazard but are not willing to pay that for Willian, even though he's better in my opinion.'

London calling: The Brazil international has been being tracked by the Blues for some time
Willian has excelled since moving to the Ukrainian giants from Corinthians in 2007, picking up three Premier League winners' medals and the 2009 UEFA Cup during his time at the club.

Shakhtar's chief executive officer Sergei Palkin revealed in January that a £16.7m bid had been dismissed out of hand.
At the time Lucescu claimed the player's departure would not have a massive negative impact on the squad.
'It is not my problem,' he said. 'It is the problem of our club and Chelsea. But if Chelsea want to take good players that are very well educated then at Shakhtar we have a lot of Brazilians.
'It is not only the performances they have done here but their education, which is very, very important. For us, every transfer is very difficult because we taken a player of 18 years without a European education.'

Does that mean they're giving up on Oscar, or are they buying them both?

So Chelsea is simply saying "feck you" to the FFP? Or is this new "Energy provider"-thingy their way of avoiding it?

Roman is the biggest muppet out there. Hulk, Cavani, Willian, Oscar are all £25m+ players that were heavily linked with them. Oh and I forgot Schurrle.

What the hell is up with Chelsea? Is there anyone they've not tried to buy this summer?
