of course we can go through IF we play at our best. But Bayer have a great record at home and it'll take something really special to beat them next Tuesday.

However, we've done it before and when the chips are down we usually come up with the goods! I think nerves affected us tonight. We were way too concerned about conceding away goals and so we didn't fly at them as we usually do and have a real go at it which totally played into their hands.

Next week, we HAVE to go for it, it's a one off cup match, winner takes all and anything could happen! Christ, why do we have to always do it the hard way!?!? <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

Spirit of Turin 99 is needed & we will get through - the Krauts think they've done it but this is when we are out our best - backs against the wall job etc....

However, Fergie will go 4-5-1 & we will hit them on the counter - we must smother their midfield I know it sounds like a contadiction because we must score but we need to see a better balance to the team than we saw tonight so , for me, it's 4-5-1

I saw our best when we were 0-0 and then 1-1
One up we started to defend toomuch and to wait for theirdefenders incursions in our half; how many times has Lucio moved forward ?

We shouldn't have let them comeforwardasmuch as they did in the second half.

i like veron BUT he there is too much of a risk that he will NOT preform KEANE is a brilliant passer of the ball and can create for the strikers and both giggs and scholes on the left. plus with BUTT in beside him there will be less pressure on the both of them.

we'll need to be a whole lot better than we were tonight. We need to be more efficient in keeping possesion, be more decisive in the final third, retain our shape AND defend a whole lot better. all of which we CAN do and have proved so many times this season!! Bring Bayer on!

If that's right, it mathematically proves that they are much weaker at home in CL matches than in other matches. And one of the two defeats was their latest Bundesliga home match, when a win would almost have assured them of the title. So they don't seem to like pressure either.
