Will Dong play tonight...

...at the Reserve game against Liverpool ,at Ewen Fields?
Most likely, but Will Smith?
Most likely team:
Heaton
Lee, Lea, ?, Evans
Eagles, N´Galula, Jones (injured?), Mullen
Dong, Smith
subs: Crockett, Marsh (injured?), Burns, Barnes (injured), +1
other candidates: McCormack, Bryan, Derbyshire, C. Evans.
The other u-18s just had an game and will have another on Saturday morning.

The team:
United: Tom Heaton, Kieran Lee, Michael Lea, Wes Brown, Mikael Silvestre, Chris Eagles, Jamie Mullan, Darren Fletcher, Sean Evans, Alan Smith, Fangzhuo Dong.

Subs: Lee Crockett, James Chester, Floribert N'galula, Aaron Burns, Michael Barnes.

Or, put another way, let me see that Dong.

Silvestre, Brown and Fletcher?

Strange

Liverpool have Zenden

Might be interesting this, for a reserve game I mean

0-0 at full time. Dong hit post late on, but not too many chances in the game.

Subs: Crockett for Heaton (injured) and Burns for Fletcher (both HT). Barnes replaced Evans during the 2nd half.

how did smith play? did he look sharp/match fit

I reckon Fergie wanted some of the first team players to have some playing time because he needs them to be fresh if they're ever needed before the end of the season.

It was a boring game ,TBH....
Smudge was a bit shit in the first half but improved in the 2nd.......
Dong looked a bit slow.
Wes was ok
Tweety was ok
Fletch was ok in parts.....

I had more fun laughing at this scouser who was getting his hair off at the team.............:D

Was anyone else there?
Who were all the blokes in the same coats? Sounded Dutch.....?

Jamie Mullan was my man of the match,by the way.......

I got asked to work earlier in the week and forgot about the match when saying yes. So I missed tonights fun and games. At least Liverpool didn't take the points like they did last year on Ole's return.

What was the attendance like MUM? Is it worth watching any of the repeats of the game on MUTV? I tend to agree with what you say about matches, so I'm not expecting a positive response.

Hiya Tribec....
The attendance was about 600.
It's not really worth watching the repeats on MUTV unless you've really got nowt else to do.....
Jamie Mullan is coming on in leaps and bounds ...I was impressed with him tonight.... SAF and Carlos were watching from the stands.....I bet they weren't THAT impressed.

The Tea was nice though........... ;)

Kieran Lee for me........

So,who were the mystery blokes in matching coats then?
I'm sure I saw Rene Muelensteen with them.....

...any ideas?

Oh,and Kieran Lee did have a good game. ;)

strange game football, i thought Mullen was terrible tonight worse match i have seen him play..........he kept coming inside and loosing possession , poor judgement with Lee making great runs outside and constantly being ignored, got offside a couple of times when looking accross line and missed the best chance of game, oh and his passing was terrible.

How did Smith and Dong play?

It was a pretty poor game with pool playing the Benitez way......... service to front players was poor. Dong looks nothing outside box but he seems to have a real eye for goal. Smith no control first half played better in midfield after the break
