Does anybody know much about Bojan Djordjic because he was meant to be a excellent prospect when we first brought him to the club but I haven't seen any signs of him breaking in to the first team. the closest I have seen him breaking into the team was when he was on the bench in a match towards the end of last season (I think it was against Ipswich) but whenever I have seen him play he looks really good. I remember him scoring a great goal against celtic when he came off the bench in a testimonial match.

no one but fergie and the coaching staff know ... from what ive heard he must be a bit of an arrogant twat

jesper said he mouthed off in some swedish papers towards the end of last season that he never got a chance and actually talked about leaving ...

Only seen him play once, in a pre-season friendly against Celtic a few years back. He looked a superb prospect, scored twice.
I think he made a couple of appearances in the Amsterdam tournament before the start of this season.
I think i remember the MEN doing writing something about him over the summer but noy 100% sure.
He out on loan again and to be honest i'd be suprised if he comes back. Loaned out 2 or 3 years in a row, would you come back?

Hes still got a chance imo, hes in Dnemark for the rest of the season.

Hes not short of confidence, he has his own skills show on Swedish tv every saturday and is a regular as a pundit on tv. Shows how short Sweden is of football pundits when they have to employ a teenager <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Altough I think that Bojan need to control his fiery character ( that is why he was exiled ) I believe that it will be a pity if Manutd don’t give a chance to this Swedish scarlet.

Bojan is our second best left winger ( yes better than Richardson and Fortune). He is pacey, unpredictable, creative and very techniqually able (yes a new Ryan Giggs) and his gem against Celtic ( a mix of technique) showed that.

I remember that Manutd had to fight with an endless list of contenders ( amongst them Barcelona and Real) to earn his golden signature, and once that he had improve his work-rate I cannot see why Djordic cannot make it at OT.

With Ryan Giggs on his 30s and with good young wingers on 20m I think its worthed to work on a geniune talent
Like Djordic.

First post. I usally just lurk and read the good stuff.

I saw him last year at the Arsenal Worthless cup battering (when their reserves spanked our even more reserves). I thought he looked good i.e. got into a lot of space and was very unlucky not to score. Was arguably our best player (even with Phil and Yorke on the pitch). Surprised he hasn't made an impact but I trust that SAF knows best.

He's not good enough to play for the Swedish U21 team, that should tell you a lot. When first at United it was thought to be because he didn't get along with the manager but the new coach (most likely a future national team manager and one of our best players ever) tested him once and once only.

He's most definately an arrogant immature teenager and I can't see him ever being United class. He's talking big playing small.

He's supposedly doing good in Denmark but him having played only 12 of 18 matches and not scored a single goal says otherwise.

His arrogance has got him into trouble before (Swedish U21's) I feel it will be problem, especially as Fergie doesn't stand for bad attitudes (eh Dwight ? ;) ).

If he is good enough, he'd better hurry up and show us. I saw him playing for Sheffield Wednesday on loan last season, and he looked pretty good. Scored a cracking free kick too.

I heard thst he was sent to Antwerp this season for the experience to be a lot more involved in the first team squad next season

If he's as good as some of you are making out this can only be good news

He's at Arahus (or something like that) I was suprised he went because he was intially named in the squad eligable for the Champions League.

I'd like to see him given a chance, maybe a couple of sub appearances or something

I find it quite funny how arogance is accepted in some players but not in others. Keane was arrogant from the moment he arrived at Old Trafford but people have forgiven this because of his service on the pitch.
Bojan has been arrogant, I wonder, if he turns into a quality player, that his mistakes will be forgiven in the same way.

I think the difference between Bojan and Keano is that Bojan has let his mouth run away with him when he is not even in the first team. When United signed Keano he had been a first team fixture at Nottingham Forest and had played in the top league, proving himself against Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc.

On the other hand, Bojan has had a few outings with the first MU team but has not broken into even regular sub status. That is not necessarily an indication of his ability but I am simply pointing out that Keano was by comparison a seasoned professional when he signed with us.

I also don`t recall Keano saying complaining words to newspapers as a youngster - it is only in recent years after many appearances in a Manchester United shirt and numerous games in England`s top league, as well as the experience of being captain of MU and the Republic of Ireland, that he has shot his mouth off in the press.

There is no comparison between the arrogance of Bojan and the arrogance of Keano.

A lot of great player were arrogant. Maybe it's a sign. But then again maybe not. Only time will tell

you have amazed me especially when my reports say that Djordic was and (still is) on the brink of breaking with the Swedish first team

From what I know and have seen of the lad he's very tallented, I wouldn't mind seeing him breaking into the side fairly soon, however, there might be a player in there that we've just not heard about yet whos even better than him, you just never know with United, its not as if we have any bad youth players is it.

With his skill and size he should be ahead of Richardson in the pecking Order. I hope Fergie gives him a run next season. He WILL replace Giggs eventually if given the chance. With Kieran covering him

Bojan will be sold for million at the end of the season imo. He's nowhere near as good as Kieran, let alone Giggs. The youth and reserve teams don't have a lot of good left wingers, spoilt for choice with right wingers though. And Yaps, there are some shit players in the academy, particularly the defenders.

De Hivje had this to say about him in the Youth Reports:

In several posts in this thread people ask for news about Bojan Djordjic. Well, I'm from Aarhus and watch his loan club, Aarhus GF, regularly so maybe I can be of service.
I can understand if you have problems finding updated news about Bojan D 'cos the Danish league has a three-months Winter break from early December, but here's a few bits and pieces:

About the club: over the years, Aarhus GF has been one of the most successful and well-supported clubs in Denmark, but due to a decade of mismanagement of grotesque proportions the club had degenerated into a financial mess and perennial relegation-zone strugglers. That is, until a year ago where a wealthy banker decided to do a Jackburn and turn the club around by injecting the money necessary to do so. Right now the signs are good: he's brought in a string of excellent players (including Bojan D), average crowds have doubled (now around 9.000), and results have picked up a little bit. The current team is very young and likely to become really good in a couple of years' time.

Bojan has played in most of the games since his arrival. He took a couple of games to win a regular first-team berth but in the last six or seven games he was a certain starter. Total: 11 starts, two games as a substitute.

He has show a couple of brief flashes of that slightly inflated ego of his, but on the whole he's been dedicated and hard-working. He's also making very positive noises about his stay here all the time, not even complaining on the few occasions where he hasn't been in the starting line-up.

He's done quite well until now. He's had a couple of stinkers, but that goes for the team as a whole. His passing has been impressive - definitely among the best passers at the club, if not THE best - and he seems to have a bit more pace than I thought he would. His shooting/finishing hasn't been too hot though. Despite plenty of chances he hasn't scored yet. Two assists.

To be honest, I doubt that he'll ever become good enough for Man Utd - and he seems to doubt it himself: he's stated that he would be interested in making a permanent switch if Fergie cannot promise him more of a first team chance. We Aarhus folk wouldn't mind either since he's definitely good enough to play at this level!

Hope you feel more enlightened now?...

Nice one Neil. That cleared that one up then.
Unlikely to play for United's first team

That's the Swedish U21 team, not the national team.

I'm thankful David May is in the Reserves :D

I live in Aarhus as well and i seen the local team AGF Aarhus (also known as "de hvije") as often as possible. And i agree with Neil. Djordjic has played som very good matches, but he has not been consistent at all. And even at he´s best performance he does not look like a player who could make an impact in Uniteds 1. team

Welcome Feilberg!

I suspect that AGF Aarhus will sign him in the Summer, providing a mutual valuation can be reached, as I understand that AGF Aarhus have very limited financial constraints but Bojan seems happy enough there doesn't he?

Blanc should join him and help bring them along - he's done wonders with O'Shea, Brown and Mickey.

In late october, He stated on danish television that he would like to stay, and that he was excited about the team that AGF Aarhus was trying to build. But then again, he could be keeping his options open - But he would be a very good player for AGF. Bassed on that, I think he knows that he won´t be breaking into the Unnited side for quite some tine (and in IMO never)

You shouldn’t be thankful to have dead wood and no hopers in our reserves for many reasons

1. They are killing off the opportunity for a youngster to develop and get the experience needed
2. They rise the wage bill and therefor close any gaps for new talent to come at OT

I'm sorry, let me just read that again

Your agreeing with me?
