Perhaps if you tried to get in touch with him to let him know that he's due to sign on Friday Mr Ferguson might feel sorry enough for you to actually pursue the matter? Worth a shot mate.

been told he can leave, perfect siging

Terry Venables has admitted that Leeds are willing to let Robbie Keane leave Elland Road after the striker's latest outburst.

The Republic of Ireland striker, who has been linked with moves to Tottenham and Sunderland over the summer, is furious that he is not in the starting line-up after a successful World Cup and demanded to play or be allowed to leave.

Boss Venables appears to have chosen the latter, admitting his surprise at the 22-year-old's comments. He said: "It's only two games, and I didn't really expect it (Keane's comments) after two games, but then again he might not have said what he did if there were only a few days to the transfer deadline.

"He's probably thinking 'do I stay now for four months or do I try and get a club now where I can play every week?' That's his problem. A week ago I felt that wasn't the case, but now there's a change of heart, and so we will have to see what happens. If there's any interest I will look at it and if he doesn't want to be here, I will feel the same.

"I'm not going to cut my nose off to spite my face. I would like to keep all the good players here to take on the challenge and compete. Now if that changes then I have to take stock and see whether I feel I can do that without doing anything to my own situation.

"There have been approaches before, from Sunderland and Spurs, but that was it. Unless that changes then we will stay as we are. But if someone wants to come to me and make something, on the club's terms, then it's possible it will go through. Although we're running out of time now and I would think nothing would happen at this stage."

Keane, who scored a magnificent chop in the opening day victory over Manchester City, told the News of the World: "At this stage of my career, I cannot afford to spend week after week on the subs' bench waiting for a chance to impress in the closing stages of games

It is a shame, since the kid is way better than Fowler, he should be playing, I think UTD should sign him :)

you craaayzee crazzee fox

I think that SAF is looking for a sheringham type player - someone that will drop off Van nistelrooy. Keane is too much like Van Nistelrooy he wants to be at the far end of the pitch, thats why SAF dont want him

Not been funny but Keane wants to leave Leeds coz he isn't a first choice striker. Now if we bought him how would his position change. Coz you know and he knows RVN & OGS are always going to be ahead of him

Nop, assuming that he comes to OT, I think that he'll be better than Ole and Ole will be the super sub once again, but I really don't think that Manchester United are planning to get him, he'll be over priced and it's not a good idea to FEED Leeds again... :p

But Robbie Keane is such a good player...

He is a decent player but better than Ole ? No way!
He failed to become a regular at Inter Milan and Leeds so why should that change at United and he don`t want to be a sub....

Consider how much he is better than Forlan, I think if he comes and he can perform his top standard, he will definitely get a lot of games here.

Let him bugger off to Spurs - he'll soon be a hero for the yids. Then we'll nab Eidur Gudjohnsen for 8m and everyone will be happy bunnies
:D

Nowt to this transfer lark you know ;)
