I want to sharpen my writing skills up. I'm happy to do a blog if the facility still exists.

The lesson I learnt is that if you're trying to do a favour for someone to the betterment of them, and they moan and treat you like an inconvenience, feck em - help someone else who appreciates it instead
 
Guys, be serious.

We should try to use our posters (some of them really great) and make this blog popular. Really. Why no one wants to participate?

Writing blogs for the caf isn't a favour to the place is it?

Bloody hell, dont take yourself so seriously.

If you enjoy it do it. If you do it don't expect to be roundly patted on the back for it. And don't make the assumption that it entitles you to be allowed to do things that others cant

I write songs because I enjoy it, I don't expect or care whether anyone likes them, I dont turn up to a venue expecting free beer and a rider.

Nope sorry Eyepopper, this is nonsense. I've never made any such assumption for a start, you've strayed into making it up territory

I don't expect to be patted on the back for it. I don't even expect folk to like or rate it. But what I do expect is that I not be treated as a nuisance and an arse for having the temerity of doing it

And yes, I did start out doing it to try and add to this place. Much like I used to set little competitions and tournaments up. I tired of getting heap loads of shite from some of the people you're now amongst ranks with, for no other reason than it was me doing it

I'm not doing it anymore, and that's fine. The only reason it's been mentioned is because someone asked a question, so I gave a straight answer

i'd be willing to have a go at writing a blog, people would probably want to read the things i type. i bet you're all reading this now.

You had a post deleted a couple of months ago in this thread because the bump was pointless. Why do you want this subject brought up again? Feel free to make a new thread if you want.
