Why don't the club ever put out old training matches?

Of the ones that must have been recorded there must be some that are quite interesting from the last decade.

I'm sure some must have been recorded during the van Gaal era and I don't think it would reveal anything too damaging to the current squad.

I'd like to see how some of the internal squads have performed on the pitch as well as non-Canon goals and passages of play.

"non-canon goals" I love that term.

It would be fun but I imagine the press and rival fans would have an absolute field-day.

Every little comment or disagreement would be blown-up into some massive story - even if they're old clips I'm not sure we need to invite the potential controversy at the moment!

as we are all aware, cameras have only existed for the last 10 years so any training sessions recorded on film would mainly consist of lingard rapping whilst pogba body popped in the centre circle. the camera would pan left to show de gea clinging to one of his goals posts, his feet carefully placed so none of his boot wasn’t touching the goal line. phelan would look on knowingly and nod his approval.

in front of him maguire would be heading wheels of feta fed to him by darren fletcher, whilst ralf walked by saying “so that’s what you do.”

in the distance we’d pick out the long queue for the treatment room whilst ole laid cones all along the right wing and proclaimed “no one in this cloob is ever allowed in the coned area.” “or thas won tee” grumbled sir alec as he laid out a similar coned area in the middle of the pitch.

Harry Kane keeps a note of how many goals he has scored in training.

Those were recorded from more camera angles than a standard World Cup final - and would be extremely interesting for students of the game (like Pep - or Lukaku).

However, they didn't survive: they were sent to the players (at the time), who deleted the files without watching the videos (they were sent as e-mail attachments, and the players didn't know how to open them).

It has been rumoured that one player (some say Mata, but I personally doubt that) actually did have the mad skills required to a) open the files and b) even save them - but that player is allegedly planning on turning them into NFTs.

The original files were deleted immediately after they were sent. By LVG himself - or possibly his wife. He/she - ironically - didn't believe in possession for possession's sake (for files).

I wonder if Welbz scored any good goals in training?

- allegedly Moyes was once heard to shout at Danny "Go on Danny, score a good goal" as he was put through on the wing. He didn't score a good goal on that occasion.

He was then forced to watch a video of Jagielkas goals and Moyes said "Thats the way, learn from him".
