Every time I log on, from whatever terminal, it asks for Username and Password. And I keep posting epics, only to find out it's forgotten who I am and lost the post.

Is this some new means of Quality Control or summat?

Come on New Mods, make a reputation for yourselves you idle jobsworths!

Who are you again? ;)

Seriously though, it's probably a software glitch most likely at your end. Try clearing all cookies from the machine and logging in again and hopefully that will work.

However we have had similar problems elsewhere and Niall is looking at solutions which might work from this end so just persevere. It needs an Admin to tinker with the software though so all us new mods can do is sit around here and take the piss out of you, whoever you are :p

Perhaps it was a 'Tinkering Admin' that caused the problem.

Damn Tinkers.

I've only ever seen that happen when I didn't check the box to tell it to remember me. And in those cases, it only forgets when there has been a change of IP address for the Internet.

Now, I suppose you are on a LAN sharing a Net connection here?

if you are using a firewall, you can set it so that it never stores any cookies. ZoneAlarm is like that

Sounds a tad silly, but un-tick the remember me box and log in, i found that worked for me.

I would tinker about being admin and all but I'm not allowed to touch nothing so technically im a dossit. Yours not bothered one bit

Yaps ;)

I've ticked the box countless times, and deleted cookies too Looby.

Cheers anyway everyone :xmas:

Has the allow cookies feature been turned off since those that you deleted were accepted?

If I uncheck the box,it won't let me log in.

Anyone who has the same problem?
