Why did MU not sell all there ticket allocation?

I spoke to friends who went to the game and could see for myself on TV that there were a number of empty seats in the MU end....why?

I thought MU always took up there full allocation at Leeds - not a sign of unrest among the fans following poor displays on the pitch is it?

It is nothing of the kind - genuine question.

It was plain for all to see there were a number of empty rows in the South Stand and the attendance was under 40,000.....Leeds sold out of tickets months ago.

Tickets for the match on Wednesday are still available to the public so aint they being sold out, where are all the United fans as when I have seen a euro match on TV, I have seen empty seats.
