Why can't we make polls ?

I think it would work out like the spoiler tags, some people will find it funny to spam them everywhere for a couple of days but after a while they will be used more properly.

Polls are a bit pointless for the most part. They can be used to gauge opinion of course, but the point of a forum is to actually discuss topics and gauge opinion based on what people write. Polls degrade the quality of discussions.

Spoiler tags are not used properly, people use them completely fecking randomly because the rules are so unclear, and those that were set were never going to be followed.
