Carlos Tevez has confirmed that he would have no qualms about moving to France with Paris Saint Germain or Monaco.

The Manchester City striker, 29, is again the subject of intense speculation about his future and a move to France this summer is being widely tipped.

Asked by French television station Telefoot about the prospect of joining newly promoted Monaco, he confirmed he would be open to the idea.

"For me, Monaco is one of the largest French clubs, and any player would go there," he said.

"I have a one-year contract left at City and I am happy, and I love playing in the Premier League - but a project like Monaco I really like.

"I know [Claudio] Ranieri [Monaco coach] and he has proven he is a great coach so for me this would be great."

Likewise, he admits that PSG would equally be as desirable - a club he almost joined last season when he was in dispute with City.

"There was interest from PSG for me, and we talked with Leonardo, but we could not reach an agreement," he said.

"But it remains an interesting option as the French championship is moving very fast. If Leonardo called me, it's not a problem for me to come, really no problem to come to Paris and France."

Wouldn't have a problem moving to PSG or Monaco, well feck me there's a surprise.

Closer to Buenos Aires at least. :p

'That was an excerpt from Carlos Tevez's autobiography, The Da Vinci Toad...'

He's been playing for city for the last couple of years for money, why would anybody be surprised at this stage if he wants to move on for more money.

The only club he would probably not be playing for simply for money at this stage is Boca, as he stated he wants to play for them before retiring.

He's 29 so I don't even see a story here based on what he's said.

Probably hadn't even heard of Monaco before this month the stupid feck

he is just riding the money train to see where it takes him.

Don't think he would ever be truly loyal or passionate at a club outside of argentina to be honest.

it is a bit sickening that monaco or psg would probably be willing to give him a ridiculous 4/5 year contract well in the excess of 200,000 a week.

SAF shold have done more to keep him. We fecked up letting him go. fecked up a treat. Tevez is a true professional.

Surely he didn't say that?

Well, Monaco are one of the biggest French clubs, historically, even if they're in Ligue 2 right now. They won the league 7 times, they gave a lot of well-known players to the footballing world.

Put him in a truck, tell him to get to feck, sod off Teeeveez.

i bet Kia Jorabwhatever wouldnt mind either!

nice big euro signs in their eyes!!

at PSG would he not get hit by the tax rate though?

Spot the WUM.

He makes Balotelli look professional.

'Project'...that word is becoming tediously sickening.

:nono: Monaco aren't a French club. They're a Monacan team playing in the French league.
