I've thought for the last 3 years now that Fergie will have a bit of a clear out, still not convinced he will this year but surely with the new regs a few will go?

Heres my thoughts for what its worth:

Wes Brown - Everton
Tomasz Kusczak - Spurs (in exchange for ? )
Dimitar Berbatov - Bayern Munich
Darron Gibson - Wolves

gaz, vds, kuzza, brown, hargreaves, owen, scholes, berbs to retire, get released, or sold.

adding: obertan, de laet, and diouf to the list.

Bolded are lads already gone.

Neville, VDS, Brown, Owen, Owen Hargreaves, Diouf, Macheda (Loan).

That would leave our strike force as Rooney, Hernandez, Berbatov, Welbeck. Thats some strike force in truth.

Ya, I think Owen at this stage of his career is only thinking towards trophies and medals. If that means he makes a dozen cameo's he is fine with that. He did the other thing for a decade and was quite successful on an individual level. Now he wants team awards.

If he is willing to take that role, that is nothing but a good thing for us, for probably 80% of the top flight clubs in the world Owen when healthy is in their first XI.

Tommy k. Spain
Wes brown. Sunderland
Nani. Spain or Italy
Berba. Germany
Diouf. Holland
Obertan. France
Kiko. Italy

Hargreaves. Released.

Van der sar. Retired
Scholes. Retired

van der Sar, Kuszczak, Neville, Brown, Obertan, Hargreaves, Macheda out.

Would like Kiko and Wes to stay but I can't honestly see it, especially with our four centre backs and if Berbatov stays, which I believe he should and will.

One more year out of Scholes and Giggs, with Berbatov to sign a two year contract extension.

there's a daft rumour that pep asked scholes to come play for barca for one season instead of retire.

even if there is a one in million chance this is true, scholes should take him up on the offer. He deserves to play next to iniesta chavvy and messi. He could easily play 25 matches for them and would be a fitting way to end his career.

I'll never understand why some people think Nani is going to leave?

:wenger:

Pig, Obertan will probably be sold. Not sure about Wes.

Hargreaves, Owen released (hope Owen stays).

VDS, Gaz, Scholesy retired.

Players with only 1 year left in the contract, Berbatov and Park. Hope Ji will get an extension asap.

Out : Brown, Gibbo, Hargo, PIG, Obertan, Owen, Diouf
Retired : VDS, Gaz, Scholes
On the cusp: Kiko, Berbatov, Bebe

The Guardian today suggests as much as 10 players could leave OT this summer, assuming there's any truth in that who would those 10 be?

Obertan
PIG
Brown
Scholes
VDS
Hargreaves
Berba?
Nani?
Owen?
Gibson?

That's all I can think of at a stretch, though I very much doubt the last 4.

nah 10 is too much. why change half the team? we all know what we need. let's concentrate on the midfield.

I think they could mean adding the likes of diouf and de laet. It's pretty easy to get to 10 then. vds, kuzza, obertan, brown, scholes, hargreaves, owen, diouf, de laet, gaz. I mean we're already confirmed 3 with hargreaves, gaz, and vds done.

Continuity is what characterizes our recipe for success, and I don't think SAF is going to change this now. Yes, we need to strengthen the team, as several of our most experienced players retire, but I think this will be carried out within the framework of SAF's famous recipe for success, which isn't characterized by large simultaneous changes.

As Neville, VDS and (probably) Scholes leaves us "simultaneously", I suppose SAF will want stability and continuity. For that reason, I expect no major changes in the remaining part of the squad.

Out:
VDS, Scholes, Kuszczak, Brown and possibly Berbatov (Well, this is kind of a major change isn't it?)
