Millwall boss Mark McGhee looks set to complete the signing of United midfielder Kevin Grogan, who has been told he can leave Old Trafford.
Grogan has done well enough during his trial spell for McGhee to want to keep him and he will sign for the Lions subject to agreeing personal terms.
The player is expected to sign a one-year deal.
Grogan failed to make the grade with the Red Devils but he has lot of ability and should certainly make an impact at First Division level.
Grogan's signing would almost certainly lead to more speculation that Aston Villa target Tim Cahill is set to leave The Den in a big-money move to the Premiership.
