So according to Sky Sources, United are looking to sign one of three centre backs.
The three centre backs are:
Michael Keane - Burnley
Victor Lindelof - Benfica
Virgil van Dijk - Southampton
If this is true, then which one would you prefer and why?
Think it's very likely that whoever we do get will be playing will be playing majority of their games next to Bailly - injuries aside. Therefore, we need to be looking at someone who will compliment Bailly.
Bailly's a front foot defender. His stand out attributes for me are his tackling, aggression, recovery, interceptions and ability to run the ball out of defence. However, at times, his positioning can sometimes be suspect and aerially, he's not the best.
From the three players below, I have only seen two play - Van Dijk and Keane.
Both, to me, are very good defenders, who have both been fantastic this season. I have the stats here to back me up, but it is known that both are aerially dominant, which would obviously make up for Bailly's weakness.
Personally, if I had to choose, I'd say Keane. Guess I'm being a bit biased, because he's an ex United player and all, but he really has had a great season.
Only thing I'd worry about is his lack of experience. Bailly's only 21. He's very much still learning the game and could do with someone with a vast amount of experience playing next to him.
Actually, all three defenders we're linked with are pretty much inexperienced when playing at the top level, but as I said, if I had to choose out the three, I'd have Keane.

Can we get a poll going, please?
