Rumours of Becks, and/or Giggsy, going have been rife recently. Personally, I don't think either are going anywhere, but who would be most difficult to replace?
IMO, Becks, excellent though he is would not be as big a loss as Giggs, who is one of the few players who give a team that bit of something different.
What does evryone else think?

Giggs, would be a big loss.

His loss of form was due to the fact he had played most of a season for once.

maybe next year he will find the consistency that scholes found this year and not last.

Beckham is excellent but his lack of dribbling skills and speed, hamper our counter attacks, becks also benefits more when Veron is playing on form.

im going to get slatted for this but get rid of both giggs has done f all since 1999 and beckham is good but he is not all hes cracked up to be if u ask anyone in europe whos englands best player at utd they would say scholes not becks

There is not a LW in the world that can compete with Giggs for best LW...especially when Giggs is on form...he is the fastest attacker there is...the club does need a solid backup although Richardson may be the man...

United could find a suitable replacement for Becks if he were to leave...D'Allesandro or Portillo would do just well...Becks is a commercial asset and thus, probably not going anywhere soon...however, for 40m quid and Portillo, I can see Becks saying "me gusta estar aqui en Madrid." I'd much rather have another wing that can fly down the right and defend...

Besides, Veron can play RW, although not his favorite spot, and this allows Scholes to start. Then Portillo or D'Allesandro can groom behind Veron for a year, before starting at RW.

Sometimes selling a player is a smart move, especially when a club is a PLC...and maybe the move allows United to by Cisse or another young forward that will develop into a Nike marketing dream...voila...your new commercial asset...perhaps an American like Donovan or Adu, whom would bring more advertisement dollars to Manchester for the sole fact that an American is playing for the club...we Americans love our sports and if an American joined Manchester, and became a regular, then more jerseys and tv airtime in the US...and ESPN commercials... :D

probably one from someone who has only watched the treble video he got for christmas this year...obviously knows feck all about football and feck all as to spelling feck all.

Becks can leave for good money.piss him off for the right price, that poof said "never say never" when asked about Madrid. If your a red say you are like Giggsy has. plus we mad him a star and we'll make another united player the next big thing.PACK YOUR GAMES MATE.

BAGS (sorry about that im getting fired up)

sorry to say that after becks' never say never speech he can go as far as I care.
giggsy on the other hand has shown form in the last couple of games I didnt think he still had in him. we need to keep giggsy whilst buying another world class winger.
giggsy's a red for life looks like

it gunna feckin happen
inter r in debt so wont b able to afford him and real wont sign becks
the only transfers will b may and blanc retiring

giggs said he was going to stay a red when he was at his worst, while becks says never say never about real when he isn't under nearly the same pressure that giggs was to perform

besides becks isn't a winger, and we need a real right winger to play 4-5-1, just look at how much better we are with ole out right and imagine if we had a real winger like a joaquin or quaresema out there

They would both be a bigg loss, beckham has got the best cross in the world and there are hardly any players that have Giggs' runs.... Not available anyway...although I think Rooney has something like that, looks like the perfect Giggs replacement to me...but not just yet..

"giggs said he was going to stay a red when he was at his worst, while becks says never say never about real when he isn't under nearly the same pressure that giggs was to perform"

giggsy is the man!!!
he's the best left winger in the world and he is cant be replace and recently has shown his true form..
MU will be awesome if Scholes n giggs keep their form till next season..so as ruud the man..
we should sell beck if he really want to go after the "never say neva"..we can get joaquin to replace him..

Giggs will always edge it over Beckham for me. I think if we can only sell one player, it would be Becks. The money we get could be used to sign so many other players to strengthen the team.

Giggs, besides playing as a LW, can also play upfront with Ruud, as a link-man ala Scholes or given a free role. His ability to run at players and the knack for the unpredictable can often turn a match in an instant.

Becks is too easily sussed out by opposing players. The know the way he plays and how to stop him, rendering him a lot less effective. All they need to do is watch how Roberto Carlos does it. Now I'm not greedy and I won't wish Becks had Giggs' pace and dribble like Figo. If he had Solksjaer's pace and dribbles like O'Shea I'm a happy man :D
