i dont see keane as having the technique to compete with the staff we have, he's more suited to the kick and rush of leeds (or sunderland).</strong><hr></blockquote>
Did you see his goal vs shity on sat ???
it was a pure class finish the boy has all the talent you need to be a top striker and he's very young i would like to see him at OT personally

Bullshit, if anything id imagine he was on Keano's side, him and staunton never got on and had a less publicised bust up in Japan.
Keane would be a great signing, hes shown that he can score against anyone.

your right it was quinn, i thought it was interesting that he turned down Sunderland and new coach Quinn.
Anyway the media were full up with Keano to deal mention the fact that Golden Boy Quinn wasnt Mr Popular.

Errrmmm... I disagree. As long as he did not come out licking MM's arse I'm fine with it. Think about it, your country is about to play in the WC, there's a bust up between your skipper and manager (and one which both of them helped bring about rightly or wrongly). Chances of doing well are seemingly going down the drain. Do you:
a) Defend the skipper (who's already a goner) and get kicked out along with him or just make things even worse for the remainder of the tournament
b) You shut up, let things cool down and get on with it hoping to do your best.
It's not cowardice, it's how important Keano's issues with MM are relative to your country facing the biggest footballing competition in the World Stage. I know which way I would go!

Keane will be too expensive for Man Utd and Litmanen sucks. The best thing to do, at the moment, is to get Di Canio.
He'll last for at least 2-3 seasons and by that time we'll have all the time to get a top class player. He's the one who can offer us the premiership.
We should avoid investing too hastily...

We've managed with 2 Nevilles. But admittedly 2 R Keanes would be even harder for the shirtmakers.
