WHO WOULD BE MORE LIKELY TO SIGN

or maybe we should have a look at bridges from the sheep.

dont want robbie flaming keane anyways do we? and as he was one of the ones who backed McCarthy over Roy I dont think Roy'd be too chuffed either.
i dont see keane as having the technique to compete with the staff we have, he's more suited to the kick and rush of leeds (or sunderland).

Did you see his goal vs shity on sat ???

it was a pure class finish the boy has all the talent you need to be a top striker and he's very young i would like to see him at OT personally

Robbie Keane is a fantastic player and good enough to make the grade at Utd in time. I think Fergie has a gut feeling that goes against him though, since back when he made those infamous "i might buy him for 1/2 million and play him in the reserves for a couple of seasons" comments.

Bullshit, if anything id imagine he was on Keano's side, him and staunton never got on and had a less publicised bust up in Japan.
Keane would be a great signing, hes shown that he can score against anyone.

your right it was quinn, i thought it was interesting that he turned down Sunderland and new coach Quinn.
Anyway the media were full up with Keano to deal mention the fact that Golden Boy Quinn wasnt Mr Popular.

its not gonna happen but robbie keane is what we need right now

pace, scores goals, can hold on to the ball and can link the play

he would only cost 8-9mil but fergie dosent seem to rate him after what he said about him when he was at wolves

Errrmmm... I disagree. As long as he did not come out licking MM's arse I'm fine with it. Think about it, your country is about to play in the WC, there's a bust up between your skipper and manager (and one which both of them helped bring about rightly or wrongly). Chances of doing well are seemingly going down the drain. Do you:

a) Defend the skipper (who's already a goner) and get kicked out along with him or just make things even worse for the remainder of the tournament

b) You shut up, let things cool down and get on with it hoping to do your best.

It's not cowardice, it's how important Keano's issues with MM are relative to your country facing the biggest footballing competition in the World Stage. I know which way I would go!

Perhaps when Ferguson is gone, but until then I dont think Keane would join us. Would be an excellent signing though.

How to have 2 Keane in Utd shirt? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Keane will be too expensive for Man Utd and Litmanen sucks. The best thing to do, at the moment, is to get Di Canio.

He'll last for at least 2-3 seasons and by that time we'll have all the time to get a top class player. He's the one who can offer us the premiership.

We should avoid investing too hastily...

litmanen would be an excellent short term signing IMO - he'd probably be cheap/free - has all the qualities to play as a withdrawn striker - great vision and passing ability. Good finisher - similar to Berkamp - And wouldnt it just piss liverpool off if he helps us win the title !! :D

Right before the CL started they had a CL special on ESPN Brazil. Brilliant weekend marathon with all the games from last season from the QFs onwards.

Goes without saying I got my beer crate and crisps next to my puff and sat there throughout. For a moment I even expected to see Placente NOT clearing that ball off the line. :(

In the Liverpool game in Leverkusen, Litmanen looked VERY good. The downside was that they missed Heskey in defence... All of a sudden Liverpool actually looked a team to beat and well up for it. They lost, true, but it was one of the most entertaining games to watch.
