Out of the first team players, who will be sold first?

My pick ==Mickey S

Why Mickey? He is by far the best FB at the club possibly one of the best left backs in Europe. Give the guy a break. Just because he is a foreigner he is a easy target same goes with Blanc and Veron. Why doesn't anyone mention that waste of space Phil Neville. Sorry I forgot he's one of us and would die for the cause!!

People like you make me sick.

Easy Tiger!

Why Mickey S?
Because he is not as solid as one would like. Because he loses concentration far too often. Because he seems to get on the wrong side of his man too often...
Because he is always grumbling when he gets interviewed by L'Equipe.
Sure he is better than Phil N but we should want better.

Hope this does not make you sick!!!!!! :D

O'k what about Gary Neville?
He's far from being solid
His technique and touch is shocking.
He regularly gets outpaced
Also has a tendency to spout crap about being a Utd fan through and through so the fans don't turn against him.
Fans throughout the country take the piss out of him and Phil-I wonder why??

Surely they are a million defenders better than the Nevilles but we should want better!!

I didn`t say i wanted Mickey sold i`m just saying i think he will be first major player sold by SAF.Thats all.

Players come and go,you know.

People like you that don`t read the post correctly make me sick.

The only realistic reason Mickey could go is because his contract ends soon.

But if he's still around now, I expect he'll stay at least until the end of the season.

they take the piss out of Gaz Neville because theyre jealous. He's not a big name star so he's an easy target..
IMO theres no better rightback playing in English footy than Gary Neville.
Steve Carr was at one stage but hes too injury prone now.

First team players are rarely sold. Stam is about the only one to go in recent years. Maybe Cole, but he was already on the bench.

The following are potential sales:

Fortune.
May.
Phil Neville.

If we need 8m that should do it.

I think poor old Phil gets plenty of mentions.

I bet your the kind of person that gets sick alot arent ya ?

I honestly believe several players will be leaving us next season, Forlan being the most likely of them all if he doesn't improve.

Many people do mention Phil as a player to sell. I don't think he good enough to hold down a regular first team place but see him as a comparitively good squad player.

I see a problem in signing Escude as a rival to Silvestre as LB. One of them will hold the position regularly and the other will probably be dissatisfied as cover. The loser is likely to ask for a transfer and we will be left without adequate cover. Phil is more likely to accept being a squad player than the other two because of his loyalties as a United fan and junior.

I know Phil has be quoted as saying he wont be satisfied as a squad player but would he really prefer to start regularly in a midtable team (or lower)rather than play 20 games for us?

The season haven't start and yet you wanted player to be sold. This is not CM for fecking sake.. get that negativity out of your system.

Because he didn't want to stay?

And there were the odd games when he actually missed a few sitters.

Kanu we sold Cole coz he was to good to bench.

Fortune for me is the one likely to go

fortune.
Escude said that SAF was talking to him about his plans for the season after this, which would suggest that únless Mikael sortc out a new contract soon then Escude will be used to phase him out.
It's a shame about Silvestre - with the concentration lapses and the positioning clangers who would feel comfortable at all about the idea of him playing CB? And yet he continues to whinge to the french press about this. I'm sorry Mickey but theres no way in hell that you'll become a regular in the french side at CB.
I do though think he'd make a pretty good LW, even last night there was one occasion he burst forward, beat a defender for pace, skinned another and then used that strength of his to carry it through.
he was probably more effective than giggs on occasion last season too.
but the likelihood of him taking to the LW role is zero of course.
how can he not enjoy bombing forward down the wing, beating defenders and scorching in those outswinging crosses from deep that OLE and Ruud must love so much? he prefers to look like a dick at CB.

:sigh:

But unlike Ruud.

the one ruud missed from 6 yards, what the commentators seem to miss is that it was only his athleticism that enabled him to get up to such a high volley, the ball was about 4 feet off the ground. he tried to wrap his knee round it. he improvised coz he's a natural finisher.
