Who is the greatest footballer named "Dave"?

Yeah, it's Beckham for me, just ahead of David Silva. I also remember David Ginola quite fondly. David Villa is a good shout too.

David de Gea the best GK dave ahead of David Seaman.
David Luiz rightly nowhere to be seen in this discussion

Thread's about a week early -- international break doesn't start this weekend.

Dave MacKay, by all accounts, was a very, very fine player for Tottenham.

.................De Gea
...Azpilicueta Luiz O'Leary
Beckham Silva Platt Davids Ginola
................Villa Hirst
I thought of making my own but didn’t get to posting it. Alaba probably makes the team in O’Leary’s place, personally I’d take Mackay over Platt (or Davids if we’re purists, but it’s more fun to have him & Azpi in)… and Trezeguet in Hirst’s place makes too much sense for this set up.

David Seaman gets a lot of props from ex-pros, even though I personally didn't rate him

Who was that David who played on the wing for spurs and had 15 minutes of fame? Bit of a nobber

The prophet Samuel tells King Saul, "Hold onto your crown, because the next king is a humble shepherd boy!" Meanwhile, David, the plucky young shepherd with nothing but a sling, a stone, and unshakable faith in God, steps up to face the towering Goliath. With a wink to the heavens and a prayer in his heart, David takes aim and boom—down goes Goliath! The underdog wins, proving once and for all that sometimes all you need is a little faith and a really good arm!

Also Leonardo Davidci, Danny Davidto and Affidavid
