Could someone please tell me which big name striker we failed to sign at the start of the season. Can't be Rivaldo as he was offered to us. Shevchenko,Tristan,Ronaldo,Cisse?

Probably Crespo... if only he had pulled it off... <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

It was me, i didnt sign as i am quite happy with my present role and am not prepared to move abroad without a guarantee of first team football.

The real Diego Forlan. What we currently have is Independiente's kit man and not the forward which Manutd wanted

three different answers so far..........

Like anyone has a clue. Fergie said that the player in question 'had a great world cup'. That could mean Ronaldo or Ronaldinho or so... Then again, it might not!

As opposed to all the big name strikers we didn't fail to sign ?

It was Diego Tristan.

The Spanish pundit Guilleme Balabue, from La Liga Review on Sky Sports, said it on the show a few weeks back.

If United were ever hovering around Juve hoping they would somehow decide to sell, we were wasting our time.

Not Geoff Hurst???!

He's not the quickest, but then again, he never was - and he has a good football brain. Or is that someone else?
