He's like every one of us. Who doesn't day dream about managing Manchester United here and there?

Only to wake up remembering what Fergie says of this killer job :)

You cant fault him for being honest. Who wouldn't want to manage Manchester United?

Can`t see it myself.

Manager will be O`Neil if he proves he isn`t a one hit wonder.

It always worries me when players/managers confess their secret love and desires to play for another club. Rio did it, Escude's done it and now Toppmoller, you have to look at the loyalty of these folk. If I was Leverkusen fan, I'd be quite annoyed with Frizhead.

There's showing respect for a fellow professional, and there's arrogance. Probably a little of both in Klaus' case.

feckin hope not, he can't even manage his minnows to a win against even minnower minnows.

Blythy, you worry too much. Smoke some pot or something.

he's said it because him and SAF are up against each other in the uefa coach of the year prize.remember erikson saying it a couple of years ago. ;)

I was impressed with him last season, but we need someone with experience, he'll have to do very well these next couple of years to be in the running. I have to say I would have reservations about a German being our manager too. ;)

Round of applause for Neeeel.

He's not done a great deal other than inherit a good team though in all honesty. They will be quite a different proposition now Ballack and Ze Roberto have left.

He looks like Donald Pleasence joined the hair bear bunch!

Just think of the stick we'd get!

No thanks :(

They were crap against Juve last year weren't they?

How's he going to prove that now? Finish in the top 3 in Scotland?</strong><hr></blockquote>

How about qualifying for the CL group stages?

still don`t qualify for second stage.

Aren't you underestimating his achievement? He led an unfancied team to the CL final last season. SAF's been trying to do that with a fancied team for 16 years now, and only managed it once.

Toppmöller may well prove to be a one-hit wonder. But it was a pretty big hit and it was in 2002 he did it. A bit early to belittle him.

I'm hardly belittling him though am I? He's had two years at a top club. Prior to that he was managing a German second division side. To my mind that doesn't qualify him as a resounding success, CL appearance or not, and a candidate for the United job. If he proves over the next two or three years that he can win things (remember in both the last two years they have been in the running until the last week or even day of each competition they've been in - and failed on EVERY occasion) then perhaps his pedigree will be confirmed. At present this is not the case.
